82 5A State Champs Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Will the Bruins be able to turn things around this week to get a much needed win after an embarassing loss to Westfield this past Friday? Your thoughts.....

sig220 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Aldine Eisenhower is not bringing the band, cheerleaders, or drill team. West Brook has got to correct some mental errors on routes, etc. Hopefully the O line is healthier, although J Jackson may be gone for the year. Big loss in the defensive backfield.
82 5A State Champs Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 Done for the year? I saw him on the sidelines during the Central game.......the trainer had alot of ice on his knee. Is it torn up bad?
sig220 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I heard ACL. I have been wrong before though.
82 5A State Champs Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 I may need to make a phone call to my buddy over in the field house at the school and confirm that rumor.
sig220 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 In any case, West Brook is playing a good 5A squad that has lost to Hightower and North Shore. I think that Brook can stay with them if they play as they have been coached. The receivers have to run the routes and not leave Reyes hung up. Reyes is getting better, although he still sometimes runs when he should pass and passes when he should run. Not a real prediction, but if they play as they should they could win a close one. Otherwise, another blowout.
82 5A State Champs Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 Thanks for the insight, sig.....
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I didn't expect Brook to roll over like that against Westfield. I think Brook will wake up and Stump will have them boys ready. Brook takes Ike 24-17.
SFA85 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 The Kings of Beumont go down to the Kings of Aldine...... I like Ike and I stand by 35-7 prediction. Ike won their district last year BTW....

bruinfan2006 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Aldine Eisenhower is not bringing the band, cheerleaders, or drill team. Is that a rumor or Are they not bringing their band cheerleaders and drill team?
prepballfan Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Justin Jackson does have a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of this season. :-[

SgtRey Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I got to see Ike in the scrimmage Central didn't have against La Marque....their nose tackle is their best player...he's very quick...we may have to play outside the pocket unless we get our O-line all back...I do feel it will be a dog fight...."The Kings of Beaumont" stop "The Kings of Aldine"....we've seen an "IKE" before...
D3zii Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Ugh..Can we plz to saying the Kingz of Beaumont..LOL.. Smh..if only he would of caught that Darn Ball
sig220 Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I believe their nose tackle has already committed to a D1 school. Their quarterback is a "waterbug" and will be tough to tackle. Once again, the loss of J Jackson will be big.
bmtfbfan Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Jay Guy - 6 1 300 lb nose tackle has committed to play football at Cal

Once again, the loss of J Jackson will be big. I hope Keantray Batiste plays this week in JJ's place, he hits just as hard if not harder and covers well....this way J wil can go back to corner.
ForReal89 Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 rootin for The Brook but not sure if they will pull it off
sig220 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 I have heard that Ike's line is large, but slow. They seem to depend on the qb. Hopefully scramble drills and a full time spy are in the works. I also heard that WB lost another player to injury yesterday.
BoboandBlair Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Too much speed for IKE! Eisenhower 48 West Brook 20
82 5A State Champs Posted September 18, 2009 Author Report Posted September 18, 2009 This website is predicting Eisenhower by 10! This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up
BoboandBlair Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 West Brook will have played good to only lose by 10. I'm thinking close to a repeat of last week, scoring margin anyway. My website has Ike by at least 28, probably will be more.
