Guest Jmeek Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Will the Orangefield bobcats be a serious contender when it comes district and playoff time?
BoboandBlair Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 No doubt. District 21-3A is not very tough and with 3 teams going to the playoffs the last two spots are up for grabs. Orangefield has a good a chance as anyone else, their offense is tough to stop, but their defense is suspect. Outside of WOS, there is really no one is the district that can claim to have a playoff spot locked up.
KFDM COOP Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 OF is running the ball well, if they stay healthy sure they can!!
SD2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 OF and HF will fight for not being last.

lhsof23 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 i reallly think that orangefield will fight for the 3rd spot more than being last

BUC EM UP Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Not sure how BC is this year, and we'll get to see how HJ is this friday. I think OF and HJ will be fighting for the #3 spot.

BC gave Silsbee a run for their money last year??? : Again, the first two spots are taken, third spot still left to had.
FritoBandito Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 I would say WOS and Silsbee have the top 2 spots pretty much locked up. If I remember Silsbee shutout BC 21-0 first game back after Ike
lhsof23 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 i think if OF can step up on defense then they can for sure be in the run
the sports guy Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 See......This is what happens when a team starts to believe. You can say all you want, but WOS and Silsbee better watch out. If a WOS or Silsbee team goes into a 21-3A town with a W already in their bag....boom! (It has already happend) The other teams in 21-3A are wanting to make a move. Mark it down.

BC shut out Silsbee in the 2nd half... stopping them 10 or 11 times in a row and the BC offense still did nothing... and you may assume that WOS and Silsbee will take the 1st and 2nd place spots, but dont count your chickens before they hatch... the games have not been played yet so do say the spots are taken... just wait and see what happens.

I don't know about that ,WOS will take one spot for sure there is no way they won't. Silsbee will take a spot not sure if they can beat WOS but I will see Friday when they play Newton how good they are .
SHSTIGER Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 The first two spots should be sewn up. Can Orangefield take the third? Yeah, i think so, but i doubt it. Will they make a run in the playoffs? No, especially when our 3rd place team is likely to face cleveland, the first rattle out of the box.
w Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 With Orangefield's explosive offense, anything can happen.
AggiesAreWe Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Silsbee did not have 10 or 11 possessions in the second half. Silsbee went ultra conservative in the second half of that game(which I still don't understand) The Tigers outgained BC 330 yards to 188 in that game. I would not say that is giving someone a run for their money. :
SHSTIGER Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 I agree with aaw, silsbee dominated that game, and the coaches did call the dogs off as long as our d wasn't allowing the cards to score.

HA! they didn't take any of their starters out till some time into the 4th quarter...

I broadcasted that game and still have a copy of it on my computer. I'll make a point to listen to it again to confirm this. Silsbee only punted 4 times in that game.
SHSTIGER Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 You can call the dogs off without yanking the starters. Yes?
33 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 You can call the dogs off without yanking the starters. Yes? maybe if you kneel the ball every down then punt it away...
