Lionfan
The Livingston Lions had 500 total yards vs. Caney Creek, not a great defense but 500 yards is 500 yards. Lions are very good missing only the break away speed at the QB spot from last year. Should be a great battle with the Raiders next week. I really think folks around 20-4A really underestimate the job down by coach Rowe and his staff. GO LIONS!!!!!!
liltex
Yes Boram by 2 scores off turnovers I posted.Point was the lions were in the game as totals pretty even. They will get better as they play. After the last 2 playoff years I think what they're doing is working. vidor pirate
No. But I know who they have and haven't played. If they can gain 400 yards against, say, Central or PN-G, then I will be the first to say they are legit. Again, until Vidor plays better competition, those numbers are suspect. PN-G on the other hand has played against decent opposition. So there numbers are more impressive. What stands out? PNG plus 10 turnover ratio and Vidor's 3 rushers over 300. Have you seen Vidor Play smitty how about 400 yards against west orange???
BORAM
A team/player can have 1,000 yards in a game, but can they get it in the endzone is what counts! Like I said earlier, individual stats/team stats mean NOTHING!! The final score on the scoreboard is the only thing that matters. I have seen plenty of times in high school, college, and the pros where a player/team puts up good numbers but fails to put the points on the board....that's what it is all about. A team effort to put up the points and stop the other team from putting up points.

NDN79
If asked about winning a football game, Yogi Berra would say "if we can score more than them, then we should win!" Nuff said!
