Guest coachacola Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Lady Cards and Bearkats will meet twice in eight days. http://www.lamarcardinals.com/sports/w-volley/spec-rel/091709aaa.html
LumberCard Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Watched the match online and the Lady Cards really got their butts handed to them. VERY disappointing way to open SLC play, really getting embarrased and blown off the court.
Guest coachacola Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Looks like it's going to be a down year for both LU volleyball and golf.
TexasTerror Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 SHSU fans are shocked by the win... We are 6-0 at home now, but really thought that we'd come out flat against the Cards, especially with two starters done for the year. Not sure what to make of it, figure the Cards will hold home court in the return game next week.
LumberCard Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Looks like it's going to be a down year for both LU volleyball and golf. This is the same way the Lacy Cards volleyball team has performed for the last several years. The year they won the SLC title they struggled early and found their rythm right before SLC play and dropped just one in conference ont he road at McNeese, then last year they were hot and cold on any given night before finding their groove in the conference tournament. They have the most dynamic player in the conference with Adi Meengs at setter and two first team all SLC players in Kaci Brewer and Laurne Holdorff. OF Genevieve Gladle gets up to full strength and the freshman continue to develop, there is a very good chance they could make another run. The freshman Jayme Bazile from Ozen is a Beast, but needs to get more comfortable in the college game. Once that happens she could be the best player in the league. It won't be easy by any stretch of the imagination, but LU has the best talent as far as their top 3 players go, now the senior trio must pull this team together for conference play.
