bh34
Way to go Eagles!!!! Galena Park played us very well, we had a hard time passing the ball...oh, and by the way Stork went out with a broken collar bone...not good. Our defense played the run really well, and finally played the pass well at the end of the game. Why doesn't our secondary turn around an look for the ball? GP, had nothing except the long pass, they made a few good runs, but for the most part we stopped them pretty well. We did a lot better on turnovers, I think we had one. But our PAT's are still a trouble spot. I thought overall it was a good game. The kids seemed a little flat at times. Our offense looked very sloppy at times, but #20 ran the ball very well, and gave 150% effort on every play. Morton, made a heck of a catch and run after the catch for a TD and Matthews long run and hurdle was very nice!!! Keep it up Eagles!!!
ImJusSayn
The eagles started a little slow on the offense side but the boys hung in there and finally got things rolling. The defense came out for the second half with unbelievable intensity and I think that spread to the offensefor the second half as well. The boys did a great job. Keep it up..... BHFAN
Good job guys!! I see why Viverette will be a state hurdeler this year ;D #20 did outstanding tonight never stopped those legs moving!! Also #40 playing both ways that kid is all over the place! I hate to hear about Stork Heck of a player! Hope you get to feeling better soon #21!! I know there are a lot of kids out there busting their butt, so I can't watch em all ,but also #10 at corner is laying the wood out there!!!! #32 Rueter (SP) the annoucers have got be tierd of saying your name ;D Offense snuck in the option a couple of times last night along with a couple of pitch outs!! Keep mixing the plays up get that bullseye off Viverette and we will be fine. Defense you guys always seem to keep us in the game! Keep the bend and work on containing the break. District is looking tough with GCM coming alive and Crosby beating CEK like they did. I think next weeks game against CEK could be the door to the playoffs! Kick that door open!!! FOOTBALLFEVER99
BH34, Our secondary has never turned around and played the ball and I'm with you on that question....Cannot figure that one out??? And one corner has been burned all year long......but walked out with a win......thats the good thing..
bh89-2
Glad to see a win, but my gosh can we find other options than QB left, righ, up middle? They will not stop until he is hurt, history proves it.
UgotTRUCKED
Congrats on the win Eagles! Just keep improving and cutting down on mistakes and the team will be fine.
ImJusSayn
Glad to see a win, but my gosh can we find other options than QB left, Right, up middle? They will not stop until he is hurt, history proves it. With Stork out for who knows how long. The word is he going to see a surgeon on Monday to discuss his options and try to get back as soon as he can. And then with Meyers out for who knows how long. You would think they might try to preserve Mathew just a little. I really liked seeing the option on Friday night and Andrew really looked good in the backfield and he is only going to get stronger with his blocking and running. If they can keep Mathew healthy and not get him beat to death and with the play of the defense things are looking good. We need to make the season as long as possible for Stork to get back on the field. Sure hate seeing this happen to a kid that has worked so hard and to have this happen his senior year just BITES.... :-[
FOOTBALLFEVER99
Imjusayn, i agree with you on Viverette...Heck of a job, but running a QB that much will take a toll sooner or later...#20, has done a great job..Hate to sound negative on Stork, big loss here, but collarbone is typically 8-12 weeks to heal...just don't know if their will be enough time, guess it depends on how bad it is......The other kid, well, football is the least of his worries.. He needs to get his life back on track and straightened out.....Good luck....BH good game, but still not wrapping up...#10 Cornerback is playing well.. But issues on the other side at corner... GP had 302 total yards... 274 yards of it in the air.....so that speaks for itself..Maybe time to look at other kids ......
BringinTheHeat
Defense played real well Friday night! I have to agree with you guys about our defensive backs not looking for the ball. They run into the receiver before the ball gets there because they never turn around, who teaches that technique???????? We should have so many more interceptions that it ain't funny! As far as #10 & #20, I think the whole sophomore class is contributing very well to this Eagle football team! #32,#81,#28,#78,#35,#10,#20.... They all play lots of downs and do a great job!!!!! RunTheDamBall
I saw Stork up close and the injury was bad. I would say he is done, that makes me feel so bad for the kid, he was really gonna have a breakout season. Hopper played amazing, he got burnt a few times but he made up for it with the interceptions.
ImJusSayn
Did Stork make it to the orthopedic surgeon today? anybody know.
RunTheDamBall
Personally I don't think its worth taking the risk of reinjuring it if he gets a temporary surgury. Its just highschool football.
Bhplayer011
Yea It's no point in Stork making it worse cause he might have a chance to go play college ball
ImJusSayn
Yea It's no point in Stork making it worse cause he might have a chance to go play college ball Talked to a few folks today and it sounds as though stork going to have surgery tomorrow. I was told that he is going to a shoulder specialist in Houston, who works with the rockets and other pro teams/colleges, who I dont think will release him to do anything if he is not ready. Anyway, I hope everything goes OK and We wish him a speedy recovery.
FOOTBALLFEVER99
Hate to dash hope, but this is the second time the collarbone has been broke... Typically a collar bone takes about 12 weeks to heal..I think he's probably done for the year.. too bad was having a great season.....
