Guest mffl Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Never discussed an injury to a Lamar football player in my lifetime... hope he's alright.

BIGREDFAN2 Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 I sure hope he can return. He looks like a good big man that we need. But did you notice the title, unjury, what's that all about? : I don't write for a living, I just saying. :

Seems to be common among their graduates.

sbearcat Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 I saw the TE from Kilgore Lamar was trying to get, they need to try again ! Kilgore is having a real bad year but that TE from Kirbyville is a Monster ! Blocks, linebackers can't cover him and DB are usually too short, runs great routes and can run after the catch. They also have a QB from Deer Park we should look at, 6' 01" 200 lbs., real smart kid, tough as a two dollar steak, can run. doesn't lock on to receivers and can throw on the run. So your wondering why Kilgore ain't winning ? Defense gives up 40 + a game.
bulldog2996 Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 That Kilgore TE is from Corrigan-Camden.

This is from the Texas Rivals website: Earlier this week we got a tip that Texas was showing interest in Kilgore College tight end Chase Ford. Right now all interest seems to be in the preliminary stages (video collection, evaluation stage) but interest has been expressed. Ford is about 6-6.5, 250 pounds and has been averaging over 18 yards a catch. He is a December Graduate and was a qualifier out of high school. He was a receiver at Corrigan-Camden and is described by Kilgore J.C. coaches as a “freak†and the “best junior college tight end.†We’ll continue to check in on things but it sounds like the staff is taking a look. He is not your typical J.C. kid and Texas was apparently showing interest in Lane Johnson (TE who signed with OU in the summer out of Kilgore J.C.). At this point Texas interest was characterized as low. We’ll keep you posted though. (Howell)
