I work at Dayton's junior high.

Last week our girls played North Forest in volleyball.

The team showed up in t-shirs with numbers taped to them.

We lent them some jerseys to play the game in...

You really got to feel for the kids in that district.

The adults are so inept in that area that can't be trusted to run the everyday aspects of the district.

Just a sad situation.

This a really bad situation. I don't know about everyone else but it's to the point where I really dont my or anyone else's kids going over there to play any sports. The first time we went over there after they changed our District they had the cops there arrestting some kids for stealling some gym equipment. And I am not joking. The coach was out there saying that he was going to have to start keeping things on the roof.

I really think the district should look into not playing any games at their place. This has gotten seriously out of control. Football is a real emotional sport as it is and then you put this kind of pressure on top of it. Our KIDS should not be subject to this type of situation........

What is really scary is taking junior high kids over there and leaving at night.

It is ashame the kids of that district live everyday in that mess.

    • But to your point, it's all circular.  Collective bargaining has had multiple effects... on one hand the cost of labor has risen so dramatically that many production-related union jobs here in the US have been outsourced, therefore cutting the union influence in the US.  The other effect that those higher wages is that so many union workers make so much money that they are no longer the lower/middle class.  They're upper/middle class to upper class, and suddenly those benevolent policies that the left embraces (higher taxes, handouts for the lazy, etc) don't sound like such a good deal to the rank & file union members.  Think about when Mobiloil went on strike in Beaumont a couple of years ago... the workers thought it would be a good idea to have a boat parade on the Neches (since everybody that works there can afford a boat or two).  No surprise that those guys aren't crazy about Dem policies.     The union brass has done such a good job of raising wages that they've made their presence unnecessary by shrinking the pool of available union workers and creating a class of union members that don't support the Dem party anymore.  And of course, you're speaking of the blue-collar Teamsters and I'm talking about OCAW, IBEW, etc... Unions like the SEIU, screen actors guild, teachers unions, etc are still doing just fine and I'd expect them to have members voting much more favorably towards the Ds.
    • F b marshall has not been the same since png got into there heads !!
    • So this poll is a fox poll and has credibility (in your eyes)?
    • I watched this on TexanLive. It was a good game. Neither team played good defense, and Klein Oak continued its streak of shooting itself so hard in the foot you could drill for oil where they stand. But it was a classic, “who has the ball last” game. Klein Oak played far better than they did against PNG. Almost makes the PnG victory look a little better.
