PNG1992 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 to have that as this weeks game of the week when Nederland travels to Port Neches the same night is a tough call. IMO anytime one of the top 5 rivalry games in the state is on the schedule it is the game of the week no matter what the teams records are. thats all.
Layingemdown Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Wow, I didnt realize it until you said it. That doesnt make any sense.
BCPEX Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Even though Lumberton and Vidor will be a good game they cannot bring the tradition and electricity that MCM brings to the table.
speveto Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Lumberton and Vidor both have better teams this year than Ned. and PNG. i think the best teams should "BASK IN THE GLORY"
PNG1992 Posted September 28, 2009 Author Report Posted September 28, 2009 Lumberton and Vidor both have better teams this year than Ned. and PNG. i think the best teams should "BASK IN THE GLORY" I agree but not this week. and as for your first sentence, we'll get to find out about that statement soon enough.
piratefan Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 No offense..BUT if you aren't from Mid county, mid county madness don't really matter to any one else.. I understand it's a great rivalry and all that ,but outside of PNG/Nederland it's just another game.
BCPEX Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 You making fun of us Ned fans with that "no Offense" crack. LOL

piratefan Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 You making fun of us Ned fans with that "no Offense" crack. LOL lol...you caught that quick...I was trying to slip it in.. ;D I am just playing.. Really it's a great rivalry, but outside of the two teams playing its just another district game to everyone else.
raid07 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 I think this years installment is more like mid county sadness.
westend1 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 As an outsider, i sure have more interest in the Vidor/Lumberton game. Mid County madness is much more interesting when both teams are playing well.
MrUmp1 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 I think it is a very good game for GOW. It looks to be 2 very even teams that could go a long way to determining playoffs. Now small school GOW I really disagree with. Hardin at Anahuac should have been that not Jasper and Silsbee.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 You got to think Central, Vidor, PN-G, Lumberton, and Livinston will be in the top 5 at the end of the year. (no disrespect to LC-M, Nederland, and Ozen). The Lumberton Vidor game could have a deciding factor in the district championship. If I had to pick one game to go to I would always see a PN-G vs Nederland game, but this year the Lumberton Vidor game does have more impact on the season ending district standings.
Guest Its_All_About_Tha_U Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 You can't have it all every year. Times are changing and there are new kids on the block now.

Guest baseball25 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Png fans complaining like always. Nederland and png aren't like what they use to be. Just like fsu vs Miami every year that game was the main game for that week that's all everyone talked about but now its on espn instead of ABC because both teams are trying to make there way back up to the top. This is the same way for png and nederland. Vidor vs lumberton is the game of the week that's just the truth my friends.

Comparing our MCM with FSU and Miami is maybe a stretch, A&M and UT would be more likely.
Guest baseball25 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Ok same thing ut vs aggies isn't a intriguing game anymore
Foyce Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 I agree with alot of these comments. MCM is still a great match up and will generate some excitement. But I also agree that the Lumberton Vidor game is more important. I will just be glad when Vidor gets an easier game, but I am not sure when that will be! ;D
adminbaberuth Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 No doubt Vidor and Lumberton will have playoff consideration and those fans will be pumped up. But you will have 15,000 screaming nuts over at Reliant oblivious to any other game in the area till maybe the Dogs jump up 21 late and those Indians will be checking local scores to see how they can sneak into the playoffs.

bone Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Lumberton Vidor game is the place too be. PNG Nederland always has next year and the year after and so on. :D
