hj_hawk_60 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Does the W-L playing the same team indicate how two teams will play eachother? For example... Orangfield lost to East Chambers Hardin-Jefferson beat East Chambers Would this lead you to believe that HJ has an edge against OF?? (I know that teams prepare different game plans depending on the team, but does it tell you anything) Another example involving 3 teams... HJ beat East Chambers BC beat Buna EC beat Buna Would you give HJ the edge against BC because of this? I want to hear what you guys think...

You would be a fool to assume an outcome based on common oponents.
hj_hawk_60 Posted September 28, 2009 Author Report Posted September 28, 2009 If you knew nothing else about the teams... Sometimes i think you could get a good idea out of it.. maybe not an outcome but a good prediction.. Woodlands beat Katy Katy beat West Brook How do you think West Brook would fair against the Woodlands?
ECC95 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 heres one for you. Newton 32 EC 7 OF 28 EC 35 Newton 62 OF 40 So in a sense the game between Newton and EC shouldve been closer given the fact the EC beat OF and OF shouldve beat Newton. Great game by the way OF. But you can look at it both ways really. I think it could give you an idea as to what your chances might be of beating a team. But i wouldnt base any predictions on it.
WOSgrad Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Kevin Bacon's Six Degree of Separation does not compute in high school football.

You would be a fool to assume an outcome based on common oponents. Anything can happen on a football field...preparation & execution....this involves all aspects...Coaching:mental prep, physical prep, and execution of game plans(adjustments). Players: Preparation via repetitions(quality of reps), mental preparation(focus and execution) and physical preparation(hydration, diet & sleep)...it's difficult for a coach to control all those things with a team....that's where the word committment is followed thru...it doesn't stop after practice...you go home with it(follow your plan & execute), then you wake up with it(follow your plan & execute)...good teams work hard, great teams work harder, the best teams....they have this committment from every player..... this is a registered messege, any unauthorized use of this messege with out the proper written authorization of Sgt Rey will be subject to prosecution under the uniform code of Sgt's Justice kjsadhiuaibvug34pqiuf jrthufhbif3p fuhhrf qhf u fqfuqhy3p9f..... :D ;D that one's free!!!
