Summer Creek new school New Caney moving down? Huffman moving up? Lee? Sterling? Humble? Porter new school This years redistricting could make some serious waves.

All those are west of the Trinity, so they don't matter. ;D
rapayne Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Look for a number of the Houston schools (HISD) that have been 4A to finally drop and not get the waiver back into 4A. This may impact a lot of these district scenarios that folks have for area 4A districts.

rapayne Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 I really believe neither of them see east of the trinity for a long time, thank God, LOL!! There are going to be so many changes around Houston I really believe we are all going west if anywhere!
liltex Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 In the late 60's Humble was 2A w/1,600 residents in the town. Now look at all the schools. The 59 corridor has tremedous growth at present and Splendora/Cleveland will get bigger soon w/the opening soon of new US Business 105 just south of Cleveland HS and proposed to cross 59-45-out to 290.This will open the door wide open for growth.
bronco1 Posted September 30, 2009 Author Report Posted September 30, 2009 I read on the New Caney ISD website that porter would be opening a new HS next year as well. How about this: District A Livingston Humble Kingwood Park Dayton Porter Summer Creek New Caney District B Sterling GCM Lee Crosby Galena Park BH C.E. King

Athletic numbers may be down, but student population is growing. Other than that, this would work. May add Huffman to that mix.
ncplaya Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Yes, Porter and New Caney will both be 4A. Look for Caney Creek to be in the mix of that District as well. Porter New Caney Caney Creek KP Summer Creek Humble Huffman/Livingston??

Porter New Caney Caney Creek KP Summer Creek Humble Huffman/Livingston?? This is even better. Trade KP for REL in 19-4A. I'll buy that for a dollar.

King I really think the Dist A will happen and have heard a lot to that effect. Those to our south may end up with a couple of schools in the southeast Houston area. Also Sterling will not be 4A and GCM wont stay there long.
