HJ 7th grade B:  0
HF 7th grade B: 14

HJ played much better than last week with no turnovers & completing 7 of 9 passes when we haven't thrown 9 passes all year.  Still need work on OL & DL.  HF's field was in great shape even with all the rain today.
Any "A" team scores?
bOTH HF  "A" teams stumped HJ tonight.
Good job HF. Like I said last week, you guys looked capable, just had to many turnovers.

HF executed on offense very well and played disciplined on defense not giving up any big breakaway runs.  Our only score was on a great kickoff return.  Congrats HF hopefully we will be better prepared next year.
I read on a post earlier in the year that the HJ 7th grade was 4-0. Do you know what the record is now and who their losses (other than HF) were to?

Yes, very nice.  Boudain balls were a hit too!

I can't believe this.. thats a little rediculous.. to run up the score in a varsity game is bad enough, but to put up 53-54 points in a 7th or 8th grad game is terrible.. These kids are 12-14 years old..

Again.. is this really necessary? what is the reasoning for running up the score so much in a Jr. High game?
THEY HAD THEIR 5TH STRING IN THE GAME!!!!What did you want them to do? They ran the ball and still scored.

Two of Orangefield's RB are out, one lost to grades and the other fractured fibula, he is also a starting LB.  It may not have mattered, but it hurts when you lose two starting RB's and a LB.

Idk.. if they had their 5th string players in it is not as bad, i would hope they weren't trying to run the score up...

And, let linemen run the ball or something.. lol
Trust me, they weren't running up the score. HF was outmatched. HF's 1st string couldn't stop their bench players.

Not that it matters, but just so you know.  In the 7th grade game WO-S basically shut down the offense in the 2nd half.  HF kept throwing the ball up and at least 2 were intercepted and run back for touchdowns.  Starters were out of the game and you cannot tell reserve guys to not do their best, they are trying to prove themselves.

Pretty much same story on the 8th grade.  WO-S only ran about 6 plays in the first half.  They had 3 defensive TD's before half.  They put in backups in the 4th qtr and scored 3 TD's on long runs that were right up the gut.  HF kept throwing the ball which stopped the clock on incompletes.  Then WO-S would get the ball and run up the middle and break it long.  It looked to me like the clock operator tried to run the clock through an incomplete pass and the HF coach griped and called a TO.  I may be wrong but that is the way it looked.

This was definitely not WO-S fault.  I watched WO-S kneel out the clock on the 2 against KV when they could have easily scored again.

It's going to be wet tomorrow, but the WOS Middle school field drains really well. I sure hope HJ doesn't cancel on us. The kids need to play!

yup, it did.  BC had to cancel because of their field being in such bad shape with all the wet Friday night games I am guessing because it stopped raining about 3:00 that day and all the other games were played.  The only good thing about it is that those 2 teams played a preseason game before district so they can count that as the district game.
