mical Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 HF executed on offense very well and played disciplined on defense not giving up any big breakaway runs. Our only score was on a great kickoff return. Congrats HF hopefully we will be better prepared next year.

HF kept throwing the ball up and at least 2 were intercepted and run back for touchdowns. Starters were out of the game and you cannot tell reserve guys to not do their best, they are trying to prove themselves.Pretty much same story on the 8th grade. WO-S only ran about 6 plays in the first half. They had 3 defensive TD's before half. They put in backups in the 4th qtr and scored 3 TD's on long runs that were right up the gut. HF kept throwing the ball which stopped the clock on incompletes. Then WO-S would get the ball and run up the middle and break it long. It looked to me like the clock operator tried to run the clock through an incomplete pass and the HF coach griped and called a TO. I may be wrong but that is the way it looked. This was definitely not WO-S fault. I watched WO-S kneel out the clock on the 2 against KV when they could have easily scored again.

BC had to cancel because of their field being in such bad shape with all the wet Friday night games I am guessing because it stopped raining about 3:00 that day and all the other games were played. The only good thing about it is that those 2 teams played a preseason game before district so they can count that as the district game.
