how can high school varsity teams be playing? isnt this aginst UIL rules?

If it is like what they do up here in the offseason, it is teams made up of returning players that are not coached by the school coaches. They usually just wear T-shirts and not school uniforms either. If you look closely, you might see a coach watching down the foul lines. So the games are basically a chance for players to get work in.

There is a request into the UIL to have these rules changed. Ie.  7 on 7 Football, Fall/Summer Baseball, AAU Basketball. It would allow a high school coach to "coach" his athletes on these types of teams. Until then, they can only "watch".

Sorry guys....RAIN,RAIN,RAIN...I hate the rain...It's supposed to be great baseball weather this coming up weekend for baseball.As soon as I get schedules I will post them for you guys that can't wait to catch some highschool baseball on a diamond near you....GO GANDERS......

Lee Ganders played in C.E. King tournament this past weekend and went 2-0-1.First game was 5-4 against C.E.King.Second game we gave up a 5 spot bottom of the six to leave the game in a tie against Westside 5-5.Third game Mikey Gomez went the distance with a 3 hit game against BCA 6-1.All together Baytown Lee is looking good.......
