raidernation
Football - Typical BC fan. I know, i am from there!!! You are right about the poor officiating. They missed several calls that would have gone Lumbertons way. Pass interference not called; offsides that caused a fumble not called, and others!! BC certainly has not always been a winning program. Back when i went to BCHS the Cardinals sucked at every sport except Baseball.
setxasfan
If you guys win, I would expect you to tell me you told me so. You are right about one thing. I do not give you guys a chance in your district. If you were in 3A, you may have a shot. It will just be to difficult to succeed this year where yall are. And about not making excuses if you lose Friday, you may not. But i guarantee there will be people from lumberton making those excuses. they are already hinting that this will be the reason. Bottom line, good luck to the players. Don't get so defensive when people voice an opinion.

Just letting ya'll know there is a lot of us who have taken notice to the talk ya'll have been dishing out, and when ya'll start getting it handed to you in district, ya'll need to be able to take the laughing at you, that is inevietable. bronco1
It all boils down to this: I want my team to win, but that doesn't mean they will. I haven't seen Lumberton play, so I can only base my opinion on the game by what I hear from obviously experienced football (mostly the moderators and long time users of this forum) people and what I know about my team. Using the available information Dayton should beat Lumberton pretty bad, but anything can happen. All be it unlikely. Lucky
i usually don't post' date=' but after reading this Lumberton talk for the last month...... i can't keep quiet. I agree with setxfan... predictable... talk that much smack, get a lucky blown coverage, and two horrible, game changing calls by the refs to pull out a victory over BC... Then district rolls around and the excuses start flowing! I'm sure monday, we'll here about how "they could've killed dayton" if they had all their players. Lumberton, You've brought this on yourself. Your like the little kid who never got invited to the Big Boy's party. Then one day you show up, don't know how to act, make a fool of yourself, and are never invited again. The next few weeks are going to be great.[/quote'] Mr. Football Thats HILARIOUS...... I can't stop laughin !

piratefan
That is kinda weak making injury excuses. IF that is what you are doing?
HITSQUAD07
For one thing i wasnt makin excuses already. Like raidernation said our key reciever didn't play against cleveland because of an injury he sustained against bc. we just found out that our top middle linebacker contracted mono and his splean is swollen all i said is that without them it is going to be tough but we can still pull it off you never know what is going to happen in the game there is no reason for yall to run your mouths just because i posted that we could beat every team in this "hard" district and nobody would give us any respect all because lumberton hasnt been good in the past. well things are startin to change now with the new coach in place and i see Lumberton being one of the top teams in a couple of years but good luck to Dayton friday
Guest Luv Ya Blue
No excuses, if we lose we lose. If we win i hope members on here give us a big congrats!
AggiesAreWe
Hoping for congrats from everyone on this board shouldn't be that big of a deal for you guys. In fact, what any of us think or say about Lumberton football really doesn't matter. What matters is what the coaches and players for Lumberton think of themselves. Some of the Lumberton posters actually believe that their team deserves respect based on what they believe their team will do this year. That simply will not happen. You earn respect, not demand it. I have seen Lumberton play this year, they are better than they were last year. Might be even better than what most people thought they would be, I am one of those people. But when you have Lumberton people come on this board and post some of the remarks they have made, how can anyone take them seriously? Posts like: " We will be district champs this year", " everyone else is fat and out of shape", " In three weeks, we will be in the AP top 10 poll"( I know that wasn't on this board, it was on another), " We will dominate 22-4A" ect, ect, ect. When you make remarks like that, all you do is subject yourself to ridicule. Some may say that making those kind of remarks is just showing their faith, belief, or support of their team. Wrong. It's just total irrational thinking that comes off as arrogant and cocky. I know that most of the supporters for Lumberton probably don't agree with what some of their fellow fans have come on here and have said. I am not accusing all of Lumberton of being this way. It is nice to see Lumberton get excited about their football team, really it is. My wife teaches in Lumberton and she has seen a difference in the kids attitudes because of this show of support. But just take some humble advice, show some humility, don't let some of us come on here and rub the remarks you have made, in your faces.
Lucky
No excuses' date=' if we lose we lose. If we win i hope members on here give us a big congrats![/quote'] Here's the deal, if you can beat Dayton we will comend you for the victory. But thats it.................nobody is going to give you credit until you earn it. If you want people to respect you then keep winning. Please understand that nobody hates Lumberton......Teams that people hate are teams that win alot like NY Yankees,Cowboys,WOS,PNG and so on. They may not win all the time but they have won their share of trophies and people either love em or hate em. Lumberton is usually the underdog and people tend to pull for the underdog. So we don't hate you, we just hate to hear you talk smack without any hardware........you know, BLING BLING.
