Two of the three playoff sites have been determined.  Bridge City and

WOS will host the first two rounds with the third still TBD.

Thanks to the good folks at STJFL and various sponsors Sheffield Productions has been invited back to tape and sell DVDs of all three weekend's playoffs.  Our crew can only be at one location per weekend, but we will be there fully prepared with our multicamera setup, replays and announcers.  As usual DVDs will be ready for purchase  ( and pickup ) ASAP after each game.    Your family can take home what is sure to become an instant "family keepsake" of your young athlete that can be viewed and shared for years to come.

This is our third year to be invited back to tape the playoffs and we would like to thank STJFL and all those that have bought and enjoyed our DVDs for bringing us back.  see 'ya on the field, videoguy

This is a re-posting from last season for our new and old customers to quickly explain what we can and cannot do with the camerawork and taping.

We do regret that DVD you have purchased does not have the visitor's side and the visitor sideline closeups like the homeside, but several posters were right when they pointed out cable length is the limiting factor.  We use 500' cables to get the shots that we do .  500 foot is "pushing the signal " limits pretty stout.  We have tried sending a camera cable down the track, around the endzone and down the track again ( 800' +) but the picture was too degraded to use.

We are also limited to pressbox sides of stadiums because of pressbox facilities for our announcers.  Even though Ned has a visitor pressbox;  we needed to stay on the home side because of the tie-in to the Big Video Board.

Last but not least, wireless systems ( at least for one camera ). . . we tried to rent one from channel 6, 4, or 12; but they don't have them for the same reason we don't  -- the expense.

Another good point and input was about editing.  We are shooting the game directly to DVD. NO editing or corrections can be made to the product.  Basically the product is like "Live TV".  When we do make mistakes, like our announcers saying someones name wrong,  it becomes part of the final product.  I regret our audio and video mistakes and the taping is not perfect, but how else could one start making DVD copies of a game just minutes after it ends?

Thanks to all coaches and teams that gave us TYPED ROSTERS OF PLAYERs, IN NUMERICAL ORDER WITH FIRST AND LAST NAMES.  This information in this form is priceless to our announcers trying to quickly find and name and credit these young athletes with their hard work and plays.

Special thanks to Troy Jones and the league for the support and faith in what we try to accomplish in just a few hours time.  see 'ya on the field, videoguy

can't wait to see the very professional tapes again this year.  Hopefully, the outcome is the same for my son as it was last year: superbowl champions!

Note to anyone who has not seen the videos: very much worth every small penny you pay!!  get one!  get two!  I bought one for me and one for my inlaws in California -- they loved it!
