Bobcat1 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 How is this going to play out? Orangefield (6-2) but has Silsbee Friday and Hamshire-Fannett Tuesday. Hamshire Fannett (6-2) has Hardin-Jefferson Friday and Orangefield Tuesday. Silsbee (5-3) has Orangefield Friday in Orangefield, and West Orange-Stark Tuesday. Bridge City (5-3) has West Orange-Stark Friday, and Hardin-Jefferson Tuesday
Bobcat1 Posted October 21, 2009 Author Report Posted October 21, 2009 If Silsbee loses to Orangefield they are basically out of the running for the playoffs, Silsbee beats Orangefield then BC is out of the playoffs, if Orangefield wins, they have to hope BC loses to WOS or HJ. If Orangefield loses to Silsbee they HAVE to beat Hamshire Fannett to stay in the playoffs, they win both and they are the Champs of 21-3A. Hamshire Fannett beats Hardin-Jefferson and Orangefield they will win 21-3A. Bridge City has to beat Hardin-Jefferson and West Orange-Stark if they lose to either one, they have to hope Silsbee loses to Orangefield or West Orange-Stark. I'm dizzy. Goodnight.

Guest Robinhood Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Orangefield has the toughest schedule remaining. They have Silsbee and HF.BC has the easiest remaining schedule, They have WOS and HJ.It looks like BC will end up 7-3If Silsbee beats Orangefield and WOS, then Silsbee will end up 7-3Now here is the trick. If Orangefield losses to Silsbee and beats HF then both OF and HF will be 7-3.4 teams with identical 7-3 records. There is no telling what will happen with a bunch of high school girls. That's why they play the game.
East TX Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Great analysis Robinhood....Lucky for BC they have played all the hard ones and still have a slight toe-hold...LOL Some crucial games coming up.....what a strong District setting!

Let’sGetAlong Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 BC is probably going to end up at 7-3. So I think Silsbee beats OF and HF beats OF. I also think Silsbee and HF win their other game. 1st H-F (8-2) 2nd BC and Silsbee (7-3) Playoff game goes to Silsbee seeding Silsbee 2nd and BC 3rd. HF and BC meet in the 3rd round of the playoffs and if Silsbee gets by Tarkington in the playoffs (I think they would play in the 3rd round)...they could be playing in the regional finals. All girls will be battle tested and ready for the playoffs.
Gabe Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Actually Bobcat, if BC wins the next two they are at least in a play-in game with somebody. They split with OF, Silsbee and HF. Silsbee and OF's match puts it that way for BC if they win the final two.
Let’sGetAlong Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 yeah...the game between OF and Silsbee means so much for 4 teams. That game is either going to set the 3 playoff teams or give us a possibility for a 4 way tie
East TX Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 I would certainly not count out OF--I think they win one on both of their last games against Sil. & HF....
Let’sGetAlong Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 I'm definately not counting them out, but I don't think they match up very well against Silsbee and they play HF at HF. They have a tough road. I picked BC, OF, and HF to be the three playoff teams at the beginning of the year so I hope they do beat Silsbee...haha. This has just been a great season. Thank you to all the young ladies.
Bobcat1 Posted October 23, 2009 Author Report Posted October 23, 2009 Orangefield will play in Hamshire-Fannett for the DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP. Who ever loses will play Bridge City (if they beat Hardin-Jefferson), for 2nd and 3rd place seeding for the playoffs. For Silsbee to get back in the running for the playoffs they have to hope Bridge City loses to Hardin-Jefferson.
