AggiesAreWe Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Stephenville 1033 Springtown 1030 El Paso Bowie 1025 Dallas Lincoln 1015 LaMarque 999 El Campo 998 Lindale 995 Kilgore 994 FW Poly 986 Big Spring 977 Pampa 971 Mabank 968.5 Mineral Wells 961 Clint Mt View 940 Henderson 890 Houston Furr 888 Dallas Smith 865 Houston Jones 861 Houston Scarborough 746 Houston Kashmere 533 Also Houston Wheatley has had 3A numbers for several years, but has opted to stay up in 4A. If these other schools drop, look for Wheatley to do the same. Also, all Dallas ISD schools who have 3A numbers will not opt up this realignment. They will drop down accordingly.

Now that would make sense. I posted about this on the other thread, but if you have a half dozen or so Houston ISD plus other area schools (Lamarque, El Campo) droping to 3A to form a 7 to 8 team 3A Houston district, that makes sense. Same with Dallas.
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Stephenville would be an area contender in 3a
rapayne Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Stephenville would be an area contender in 3a No doubt, looks like their longtime 4A history will move down to 3A and I can only imagine this sparks a LaMarqu resergence.
UHFALCON Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 any predictions on the bottom # of 4A? 1033 students would seem pretty safe to me unless they have a big drop off this year. I beleive this last re-alignment bottom # was around 865 for 4A

Long Tall Texan Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Both Stephenville and La Marque dropping would be appropriate. They havent played since 98 when Stephenville beat them 34-7 to win state. They also beat La Marque to win state in 1994 32-17 and in 1993 26-13. Of course we played them in 99 and lost 28-18. They were the 4A team of the 90's with 4 championships that decade.
stevieray Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Stephenville would be an area contender in 3a Please explain...Not sure what you meant by an "area contender".......

That's because they've been running into Everman and or Aledo. Both of those schools are just above the 1000 adm mark also. Not so much S'Ville is bad, other teams in Reg 1 have came up......

PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Stephenville would be an area contender in 3a Please explain...Not sure what you meant by an "area contender"....... Just saying that they are really good at what they do in 4A and I think if they were to move down you can probably see them in the area round of the playoffs, at least, every year. I think they might even be state ranked after a year or so..
KFDM COOP Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 They'll be State Ranked their first year!
stevieray Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Stephenville is playing really well right now and looks to be getting stronger every week...The great thing is that they return 8 guys on each side of the ball next year! They should go 3 or 4 rounds deep this year and push for the title the next two years...regardless of classification!

Let’sGetAlong Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 That's a lot of possible schools dropping...and big name schools. Does the drop look the same from 5A to 4A? If not...is it possible they don't raise the numbers at all? Have the numbers ever dropped or stayed the same from one realignment to another?
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 I watched Stephenville play a game earlier this year..but I cant remember who it was against..I was just bored. haha
Long Tall Texan Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 They had a great win vs everman last week 44-17 i think.

PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Well wish us luck this week, its homecoming, and ACU is No. 2.
NDN79 Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 Gotta agree with Coop on this one--If Stephenville drops to 3A then they would definitely be state ranked from the start. Thats a good program over their--always have liked them, except in '99 when they beat PN-G!
