Silsbee @ Orangefield Predictions/OF WINS IN 3!!!

This is a huge game for each team.  If Orangefield wins they are in the playoffs and Silsbee is out, if Silsbee wins it puts 3 teams tied for 2nd (Silsbee, Orangefield, and Bridge City)

Last time they played it was Silsbee in 3 the last game was in the 30's.

It's also Senior Night for Orangefield.  There are only three seniors, Abby Ludwig, Aimee Scales, and Leslie Spell.

Game starts at 5:00.

So far it has been home court advantage with OF, BC, HF and Silsbee. I hope that stays true to form. Go Bobcats. Never been a big volleyball fan but I must say this year has been crazy. Four teams pretty equal. Pretty awesome from a stand point. For the parents, I bet the nerves are shot. Got to be tough because you don't know which team will show up on any given night.

Not home court advantage for all. HF swept Silsbee and beat BC in BC and lost to BC at home. Great season...great season.

First volleyball game I have been to this year and I must say I was very impressed with Orangefield. They looked like a volleyball team and they are still young. Orangefield has always been about basketball but now they will turn some heads in volleyball also. Great game tonight girls. Never really cared for volleyball because it is to slow for me but it got my attention tonight. I was pleasantly surprised.

The athletes OF has coming through right now is simply rediculous. Combine that with a good varsity coach and they are going to be good for at least the next four years. Only going to get better. I thought they looked good last night as well, but I also thought Silsbee looked terrible.  They couldn't do anything right. Neely was the only one hitting the ball and OF was blocking almost everything she hit. Good game by OF. And thank goodnes...don't have to hear domination anymore...well at least not on volleyball.

Sorry AAW but no more "Domination" on the volleyball court. ;D ;D

Yep Bleed, no more.

Congrats to the Lady Bobcats on an impressive win!

Orangefield= DOMINATION!!!!! (one last time, for the good times ;D)

That's funny. ;D ;D Rizon was right. It was not Silsbees night. They never got in a rhythm and made to many mistakes but that happens in the game of volleyball.

The Orangefield VB Team came to play against Silsbee last Friday.  They did a good job keeping Silsbee off balance.  Contrary to what Rizon posted, No. 7 for Silsbee, Chelsea Neely did not get most of her shots blocked.  Neely got most of her shots down for points and blocked a few shots herself.  Neely and Janci Burns were the two bright spots for Silsbee.  The Burns girl is a soph. and has good leaping ability.  She doesn't play much but came in and added a spark to the Silsbee Offense.

By the way Rizon, A block is awarded when a player(s) blocks the ball that comes off an attack into the opponent’s court, leading directly to a point.  By definition none of Neely's attacks got blocked in the OF game.

You gotta hear it at least one more time....Silsbee's Freshmen team went undefeated in district and only lost one match all year!  Domination!

Well Orangefield's freshmen team has only lost twice in district both to Silsbee...but that's a little misleading. Orangefield's JV team that consist of 4 freshmen have went undefeated in district so far this year...add to that we start a freshmen on Varsity, you can see how strong our freshmen class really is. But taking nothing away from Silsbee they will be Freshmen Champs. Like to give props to our JV team that is undefeated so far...that equals DOMINATION!!!

And the same can be said for Silsbee's freshmen and JV.  Four Sophomores and a freshmen on varsity!  Looks like we have alot to look forward to in the next few years!  ;D  I can't wait!

    • I too, wish #15 was healthy and playing.  And also another RB (can't recall the #), who went down in the first game of the season. But, some others have stepped up and are hard runners.  I'm really looking forward to watching this game.
    • Still, from what little I saw, it should have been a much closer game.  WOS was missing some fundamentals on defense, and a lack of imaginative play calling on offense.  Just my opinion as an objective observer on Texan Live, which was horrible btw, but that's another story.
    • Either way,one game lead in the series. I rely to much on word of mouth
    • West Orange Stark has been a powerhouse since I csn remember. At some point, your bound to fall off to some degree. Alabama has 3 or 4 loses this season. Who would have thought? Has Orange lost kids to LCM or even Orangefield?
    • Interesting matchup this Friday. Both teams have very good offensive and defensive lines, which will make this game interesting. Having watched Texas High all season, they have a wide open offense with very good skill players. If you look at their stats they run the ball 57% of the time and pass 43% of the time. Personally, that is a bit deceiving, as most of their games have seen reserves running the ball in the 4th quarter. I would estimate the primary offense is 50/50. Through 12 games they have run for 3,224 yds (48tds) and passed for 2,894 yds (32 yds). Potter, the Tiger QB, has been very efficient with a 69% completion rate and 1 interception (which came from a tipped pass). The passing is distributed primarily to 4 receivers…. Ball (865), Wrightner (811), Montgomery (532), & Pilgreen (392). The rushing comes from 3 running backs … Johnson (1,432), Ball (768) & Moore (716).  The Tiger defense is solid and very quick.    Hope #15 is healthy enough to play. He is a test for any defense. I was concerned about the Nederland RB, but felt Texas High did a good job containing him. I wish this game was in the afternoon, as Nachitoches is having their Festival of Lights and their will not be any rooms in the inns and restaurants will be full so plan accordingly. PNG are state champions until someone knocks them off, so I extend the Indians the respect they deserve. Pulling for the Tigers.
