Indianforever Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 what would have to happen for angelton to move to division 1 can someone explain?????
D3zii Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 La Marque would have to beat Friendswood this coming friday,,That way La Marque would make play-offs makeing Angelton a big school..Since La marque is smaller..I think..":) LOL

Angleton and F'wood were D1 reps last year. As of last night, Dawson, Santa Fe, and F'wood are in a 3 way tie @3-2 while Angleton is 5-0
Football Fan 50 Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 La Marque has to beat Manvel this Friday which will be a good game. Too many scenarios to narrow down who is going. The only thing certain is death, taxes and Angleton has secured a playoff berth.
Long Tall Texan Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 Big schools in that district. Our biggest school in 20-4A has a lil over 1500. Odd if angleton does not go D1 with those numbers, but even if it looks odd it really depends on what the other teams do. They beat TC like we would have if we had not been backed up against our own end zone when we were up 16-0. We stopped them two or three times on fourth down, but they finally got in. Our offense had us in a huge hole at the start of the third quarter.

From past posts, it sounded like Friendswood had a smaller enrollment. You are right, if Dawson or Friendswood don't qualify, Angleton is division I. I believe if Friendswood loses to La Marque, they would be out, but there are still two games left, and it looks like all the teams are taking turns beating each other, the tie breakers would be very confusing.
pngfan66 Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 When you go to the area game after a Bi-District game, do you play a team from a different District or the team that won in your division from either your own District or the District you played ? Curious ?
