HF beat OF tonight 25-12, 25-15, 30-28 to win the district championship.

So can we assume that if BC wins tonight then OF and BC will play each other for the second place spot?

Heard tonight that they will probably flip for playoff seeding.

The Lady Horns played their best game of the year so far.  First time to see them play with that kind of teamwork and hustle.  Packed stands on the HF side got a great show.  Congrats to Coach Peltier, Coach Carmon and Coach Cox and all the Lady Horns.

Maybe because 1st round playoff games have to be played either Monday or Tuesday, therefore BC/OF would have to play either Friday or Saturday.  Friday is the football game and if they play Saturday, then whoever they play in the 1st round could decide to play Monday and that would not give you much time to prepare for whoever you play the 1st round.  If they flip, then it gives you more time to prepare for that 1st game.  Just my thoughts.

A big Congrats to the Longhorns!.....

This district was so close--had BC won the 5th game recently against H-F; instead of losing that game 16-14--they would have been the District Champs.

You can't get any closer than that!  WOW

I sure hope BC and OF can play a game-set to settle who is seeded in 2nd & 3rd bracket positions.  If nothing else it would  give them both a great pre-playoff opponent to warm-up against.

Well someone had to lose out of the top four; so better luck next year to Silsbee.

Bridge City will play the 3rd place team of 22-3A (Huffman or Splendora)

Oragefield will play the 2nd place team of 22-3A (Huffman or Splendora)

Hamshire-Fannett will the 2nd place team of 24-3A not sure who that is

I looked at Cameron's win/loss and I think H-F will easily prevail.....Now the team that won that District is very good!

If you look at the UIL Bracket for 3A, the second place team has a much more difficult road to regionals than the third place team.  The prize for winning a tie break game would be to make it harder on your team to advance.  Although OF lost the coin flip, they got a better position in the bracket.

Same way as it was last year...that's why they flipped. Caldwell was first in Cameron Yoe's district and they beat HF last year to go to state. Yes they are undefeated in that district but I believe that district is weak. Caldwell doesn't have a great overall record. Don't get me wrong, they will be good and a team to never overlook, but any team in our local district can beat any other team in Region 3. Outside of Region 3, they are greatly overpowered. Let's hope all 3 teams have their games together and someone makes it to state!!!

Both teams wanted 3rd place because of how the bracket is set up.  The 2nd place team is in the same half as Tarkington, and they are really good.

If BC takes Tarkington(a hot team lately) they might roll for a while.
OF does have an even easier route in the brackets.
