Lets just agree to show here the morning after the game no matter whomever wins and face the music. I know you will BHFAN , its some of the others that have come out of nowhere(we have some also) that will be MIA if PNG wins.

Oh I'll show ;D Crow is a regular part of my balanced diet during football season ;D After our first game the Real PNG fans came back and showed much class giving props to BH on a good game. I expect the same from us when we beat you ;D ;D (I couldn't help myself). It's going to be a great game and atmoshphere if this game happens! I've always injoyed watching and BH playing the Indians. BH football players also spoke well of PNG.

Gotcha!

Game stats from game 1 :o BH out gained PNG by 80 yards had 4 more first downs with almost a complete balanced attack while throwing 5 interceptions and losing 2 fumbles! Final 21-20 :o BH puts it together and the Indian stops dancing ;D

You forgot the penalties stats. A kickoff return and punt return deep into BH territory was brought back and one good drive killed on stupid penalties.

The most important stat of all was forgotten the SCORE   21--20

Here is the issue BHFan....

PN-G has gotten better each week and has the stats to back it up.

Barbers Hill has not played with ANY consistency against quality opponents the entire year. Padding stats against non-contenders gets you nowhere. Turnovers have plagued them all year and that did not change right into week 10.

I have a hard time seeing them come out and playing mistake free ball. PN-G has one of the best turnover margins in the entire state regardless of classification. The have the number one defense in 20-4A and a top ten defense state wide. The 20 points BH scored in week 0 or the most this team has yielded.

BH better bring their A+ game and hope the NDNS help them out some if the BH fans plan on going home happy.

They have not shown the ability to do that all year.

Parts of your post are very true :) Turnovers have plagued us all year, but to think they are not capable of a good game? I wouldn't put my paycheck on it. The good ole saying of "On Any Given Friday" was put together for a reason and that reason is that teams win that are not statistically supposed too. Now with that in mind the Eagles had more turnovers against any team that they played the whole season and didn't take them to over time because of a field goal (PAT). Padding our stats you could say the same for PNG as I don't think either team has played a state contender. Both teams have played well PNG has the better record because they hang on to the ball.

My logic is this if BH has scored the most points against PNG all season with 7 turnovers how much could they score with 0? Will we get to see? Who knows, but I'm not ready to give PNG a first round bye because they beat 20-4A teams ;D Central will be the best team that PNG has faced since BH in week 1 IMHO.

Did you miss the 37-7 beat down of Crosby or the 39-6 beat down of Lumberton in which starters were pulled early in the second half of both games? Both teams BH lost to.

I think BH has the talent to play with us. We had 5 turnovers that game ourselves as well as over 100 yards of penalties. The difference to me is that we have made strides on both offense and defense since that game while BH has shown that they will let the same flaws get them beat.

Maybe they put it all together....I just don't think it happens.

Best we played since week one against BH?  Last time I checked, Lumberton beat BH.  So with all of the "logic" on this board, Lumberton is a better team than BH.  PNG beat Lumberton 39-6.  So BH is not the best team that we have played thus far.  Also, Crosby beat BH.  PNG beat them 37-7.  Again, I don't think BH is the best team we have played thus far this season.  Vidor was within 1 point of tying Central.  PNG beat Vidor 35-13.  Again, I don't think BH is the best team we have played thus far this season.

PNG might have beat BH by only 1 point in week zero of the season, but this game will be a lot different.  I look for PNG to play a complete game this time around.  Go look at all of the posts from others around the district after PNG gets done playing their team.  I think the Ozen poster summed it up pretty well.  He stated that PNG is a well-oiled machine.  They are the real deal.  They have size on both sides of the ball and they are very balanced.

Some people will never get that PNG has come along way since WEEK 0  ::)  some people will think that PNG is the same team they were 8 weeks ago but they will be in for a RUDE awakening.

PN-G should win this game...
But if the Eagles win.....
Market Basket will have to make a rush order of crow...
All this talk about which district is better...
Last year Crosby took out the 20-4A district champion.
This year...
Dayton and Crosby could be seen as being favorites again...
I think there will be another split this year with 20-4A and 19-4A, and...
If you judge the districts on which one has the last team playing...
Well we all know the answer to that.
There is only one team in 19-4A or 20-4A with last two Region III trophies in the foyer of their high school.

Uh, guys (referring to PN-G fans), no offense, but we need to focus on Central this week. The Barber's Hill thread is 25 pages long whereas the Central thread barely has 16 pages. The Eagle fans are just looking for something to keep themselves entertained because they're off this week. Let's just let the Indians settle this one on the field (for the third time in two years ;D)... or at least wait until Saturday....

I always love this compairing who beat who equals we win stuff ;D ;D Try this one on Dayton beat GCM by 30 something Dayton beats BH by 3 = BH beats GCM by 27? ? NOPE GCM wins by 30!!!!

Or

BH beats GP by 30 loses to Crosby by 6 = Crosby beats GP by 36???? NOPE GP takes them to the wire and loses by 6!!!!

All of this means squat! if PNG struts in thinking BH is going to lose by 20 then they may be limping out ;D I also love how beating the crap out of Crosby is relevant in week 1 but sqeeking by BH the week before is ill relavant ;D

BH has been told all year how bad teams are going to beat them, but at the end the largest margin of victory has been 6 points outside of the GCM beat down.

For some reason an 8 shows up as a smiley face.

Apples and oranges! Reminds me of a Sesame Street song, "One of these things is not like the others....." PNG is good, but not in the same league with the likes of Lake Travis, etc...Don't let a little "purple pride" cloud your judgement.
And You Know this how????
Question is why dont you know???? Do you think PNG can beat Lake Travis?

There is only 2 teams in the state that could beat Lake Travis.....Denton Guyer and Longview
So its almost a sure thing for them to win State...That must be a good feeling, having
The State Championship in the bag when the regular season is not even over
I know any team can be beat on any night but until you have seen LT play I wouldn't make those comments.  Their 4th string could be PNG's 1st string.  Nothing meant by this other than they have so many kids on their team with the talent to boot.  When I went and watched LT play Dayton it was unbelievable how many kids, very large kids, they had.  LT will be the prime NCAA recruiting grounds.

Is there a record for the number of posts over a game that may not even happen? Since we will not know until Saturday morning who is going where, this whole thread could become nothing but misguided speculation. Just curious.
