fwstangs Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 We have always done it since I have been close to the program, last 10 years. But the other day some Dad was saying it was not legal and he did not know how we were getting away with it, pointing out that two kids who played JV were not dressed for the varsity as they have in the past. Even though there were two other JV kids dressed out who played JV.Is there any rule? I looked and of course found nothing saying it was wrong. Others thoughts and knowledge?
NewIndian Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 The Coach can bring up whomever he needs, we brought up several players in the past and this year weve brought up a JV player to fill in for a injured player
WOSgrad Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 My understanding is that they just can't play in the same week.

bulldawg64 Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 yea they cannot play thursday night jv,then play varsity friday night, they wouldhave to play the next friday, if the jvdoes not play the night before youcould have all the jv for friday night alsosuch as in post season
fwstangs Posted November 3, 2009 Author Report Posted November 3, 2009 I get the playing part. If you play in the JV game you can not play in the varsity game. But there are no restrictions that I can find on just having the JV players, that played in the junior varsity game, dress out for the varsity game, for recognition purposes, that I can find correct?
stevieray Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 In my experience, most teams bring up their underclassmen during the playoffs.

And if they play on suitup on Thursday night, then they are ineligible on Friday night
