KFDM COOP Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Who's everyone's pick for Boys and Girls Coach of the Year? Need Feedback!
smartguy Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 even though this team didnt make the playoffs you have got to throw the shepherd coach for boys in there...he took a team that had been bottom of the cellar for the past couple of years, turned them into a team, lost his best player right before district, and came about as close as you can get to making the playoffs without actually making it
SilsbeeD Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 if they would of made the play-offs he probably could of got coach of the year easy...but my choice will have to be the coach for LC-M. He has done a great job this year.
KFDM COOP Posted February 13, 2006 Author Report Posted February 13, 2006 Harley...LCM McCarther..WOS Girls...... Lady Lumberton Head Coach OF Ladies Head Coach..
raider09 Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 charlie wilson lumberton girls basketball coach and the coach for lcm boys team
KFDM COOP Posted February 13, 2006 Author Report Posted February 13, 2006 Charlie has done a good job!
Homer Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 I have to go with: Boys - McCarter(WO-S) Blew out HJ at HJ, district champs, really has his team playing together. Girl's - Orebo(WO-S) With the talent this team has they need no coach. But this year the way she has gotten the inside game going with Henderson and Smith it is no longer just the Britney and Brittney show. They can be sooo good it is scary!!!
Champion Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 What about James "Buddy" Bush from Silsbee girls!
stang4life Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Boys: McCarter from WO-S Girls: Orebo from WO-S Talent on any team is just talent without the guidance of good coaching. These two have seemed to put together good, all-around teams that previously may have seemed one-dimensional. There have been many stars emerge and shine on both of these teams and I think that many times the coach's influence is under-appreciated.
Guest orangeman Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Duane Joubert from Kountze. State Champ last year and has his current team on their way for their 3rd consecutive. Also currently ranked #1 in the state. You've got to continue to give respect to the coaches who continue to have success at a high level.
