East TX Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Info submitted--Our Freshman, JV and Varsity Volleyball teams are undefeated in district play. I'm not sure of the year record. I know we lost to a 5A school in a tournament earlier in the season. There may have been more loses...but not many. Our volleyball program is solid and the head coach played on state volleyball teams back in the 90's and played for UH Volleyball.__________________CALDWELL
East TX Posted November 5, 2009 Author Report Posted November 5, 2009 More in-coming info!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~They were beat in the state semifinals last year by eventual state champions Lovejoy...they have a very solid, hard-hitting program.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Therefore a top 4 team in the State Playoffs last season & rated on one poll this season...WOWNo wonder no one wanted to face this sector of the bracket play! lol
Let’sGetAlong Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Very good program with a very good coach. Lost a lot of players last year and it seems their district was a little weak this year. I guess we will find out tonight and tomorrow night how strong their district and Caldwell is. The reason I think their district is a little weak because even though Caldwell was undefeated, it took until the last poll on TGCA for them to be ranked. But...who knows.
East TX Posted November 5, 2009 Author Report Posted November 5, 2009 Where did you get that about losing a lot of players from last year?? That is not what I am getting.
Let’sGetAlong Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 I went to the game last year and I had a program. I believe it was their setter, one middle, and both outside hitters.
East TX Posted November 6, 2009 Author Report Posted November 6, 2009 I had understood they had 11 players that rotated and contributed last year and many are back this season plus an undefeated JV to fill the voids.....
AggiesAreWe Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Sounds like East TX is setting up for a loss to a SUPER PHENOMENAL SUPERIOR team. ;)
bcsportsdad Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 at least BC is getting to play this late in season ,right AGGIES ARE WE
East TX Posted November 6, 2009 Author Report Posted November 6, 2009 Caldwell or BC will build their own claim to fame without anyones help. lol
bcsportsdad Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 Ok aggies r we caldwell was good but at least BC saw it first hand and did win one game unlike silsbee who could only watch the news to find out what how good they were.keep saying domination and one day just maybe they will make it far enough to see for thereselves
Guest etbu Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 Congrads on the great season BC and be proud of what you have done. See you ladies in softball and Happy Holidays. ;D
East TX Posted November 7, 2009 Author Report Posted November 7, 2009 Caldwell was a real program behind a real team! BC with one Senior faced a team with EIGHT solid Seniors one GIANT junior Middle athlete and one exceptional spiking athletic Junior, for starters. LOLCaldwell is unique in that EVERY really good athlete in the school that is female is on their team.... (and all the younger tall ones in the Jr Hi & up in the HS are being groomed for VB).A leap of logic is not needed as to why they are such a strong productive building program.BC showed their spunk in beating this team, even if it was only once.Prospects of BC Volleyball remain bright, it is coming together.Again Jordan Royal proved to be the MVP in my opinion, finding ways to get many points even facing an extremely tall seasoned Hornet front line.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~To our friend-- Aggies We ErredWe have been noticing your DOMINATION may be slowly turning into Constipation.. ;DThanks for the compliments to the team ETBU, maybe have to give you another appaluse ;)

Guest VBC1522 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Is Caldwell very good at anything else besides VB? If not, perhaps that's why they are being groomed for volleball? Where did you get that info?
East TX Posted November 9, 2009 Author Report Posted November 9, 2009 From the great fans from Caldwell who told us about their on-going program. Caldwell does quite well in boys sports also for a smaller 3A.
