PURPLE 4EVER Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 A popular playoff site in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds is to play at Katy or Spring Branch's Tully Stadium.That puts Beaumont area traffic on I-10 to the west side of Houston...IMPORTANT CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT!I-10 EAST BOUND (going BACK to Beaumont) will be under construction for about 90 days between I-45 and HWY 59 (which is the downtown area). There will be only ONE! ONE! that's right ONE! lane open for the 90 days on I-10 east bound as it goes under I-45 (there are currently two lanes now).I don't think traffic west bound will be affected (going to the games), but coming home from the games It would be prudent to bypass the downtown area by taking the 610 loop north around downtown.If you are travelling to central Texas this weekend and coming back on Saturday or Sunday...I-10 WILL BE SHUT DOWN east bound at downtown Houston!!!!Don't travel toward Beaumont this weekend on I-10 around downtown Houston or you will be sitting in a parking lot as you are diverted to I-45.A link to the TX Dot site is below...http://traffic.houstontranstar.org/construction/construction_report.aspx
