They've proved that they cannot pass the ball. Also, Vidor has a hard time defending the pass. Dayton wins BIG.
I dont know if you have seen any of our games or not, but Vidor can and does pass the ball.
I have seen Vidor play. All but 1 district game. The passing game isnt there. They try to pass and arent successful. The only pass that ever gets completed is a dump off pass to the halfback. And that doesnt always get completed. Besides that, the ball never gets completed or its a sack most of the time.
I haven't seen Vidor Play but I have seen highlights and yes Vidor does pas and passes pretty well. One one game, James Laramore caught a one handed pass in a games that was for alot of yards. We have some pretty good recievers. They may not be the best but they can catch the ball.
Let's say it again 423 passing yards, he must have caught nearly the bulk of those on his really amazing one handed grab that was for a lot of yards~~!!!
i think that everyone knows that Vidor will not pass unless forced to. Their big olinemen are not quick footed and do a much better job moving forward than they do in pass protection. The QB seems to be a capable thrower, he just doesn't do it much. They are one dimensional, and I expect this to be their downfall. That said, they are going to have some rushing yards and they will eat up some clock. A couple of turnovers, and this thing could go to Vidor.

They threw the ball 16 times last game and I think that was the most they have thrown all season. Angleton wins with their run game.... it's a good one too.

Not as big as Gilbert and not as passing prolific ,but one of the best athletes in the Region. It would suprise me if he played QB at the next level. It seems to me he plays that position for Angelton out of necessity.

the_dude_abides Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Since the football talk has slowed....Has anyone considered the carbon footprint of this game. I'm not sure what the vidor fans will be driving to huntsville in, but I have to think that it will be similar to convoy of duellies and F-250's that will be leaving from Dayton. If i had to guess, the average miles per gallon for the fan base going to this game is probably around 2. Maybe everyones company stocks will get a little bump from increased demand.
