LTPanthers7 is an authority on Bridge City because Liberty lost to BC 10 weeks ago?  He further states that Cleveland has more team speed than WOS?  Is he unaware that WOS is the reigning AAA State Champion in Track? (and by the way, that winning track team plays football!). I am not going to pop off about how this game or any other play-off game is going to transpire this week.  I will say that I like 21-AAA's chances!  [u][i]Go Tigers!, Mustangs! and Cardinals! Looking for a little revenge for my redbirds against Cleveland.  The revenge is for the game that was stolen from us in 2000 at Katy.

BC got there revenge back in 2005. I believe the score was 42-20 over at PN-G.

Goodluck Cards!

Liberty played BC and Cleveland and i watched both games...BC is'nt have as good as Cleveland, can someone name me a player on BC who can run past Cleveland's LB Marcus Mallet, i don't think BC will score in this game and i take Cleveland 28 to 0

Let me tell you cuz that BC has seen some teams as fast or with more speed than Cleveland. Not sure how they will do but you cannot tell me that Indians have more speed than Silsbee or WOS.  You chaps from BC don't take a bowie knife and cut the cord to the horn whatever you do. LOL Take the skewl board member from shepherd and let him sit on your side. Dare you.  ;D

um ok?? i can go watch Peyton Manning play that don't mean i am a great quarterback so just cuz BC saw/got beat by West Orange and Silsbee that does not have anything to to with the Cleveland game they lost to two teams with great speed and now they will lose to a third and i dont care how many good teams they have played it does not make you automatically able to stop a fast team just cuz you have played fast teams in the past.

I think BC's defense can hang with most teams and I don't think Cleveland is an exception.  We've seen speed all year long, so that won't be a surprise.  If a couple of players from Cleveland can be contained, it will be a close game.  Hopefully the offense will pound it out with Menard and throw in some pass plays to the sidelines and we will have a ballgame!  These kids have a never give up attitude and that will be to their advantage come Friday night.  Good Luck Cardinals and give Cleveland your best shot!

I'll take the Indians.  Dont really know what BC has, but I have seen Cleveland.  They're a good football team.

BC has an amazing running back that can run over the biggest of players!

every time he runs someone over and gets by someone i hope he's saying "im only a sophmore, want some more?"

If he's the same RB we scrimmaged, then I didn't see him run over anyone. He looked more a juker than a trucker. JMO

Cleveland is a good football team, but I don't think they are as good as last year.  As far as the 2 DI prospects, Mallet is the real deal but the big boy is still pretty raw, and you shouldn't have any problem blocking him.  I know this though, Cleveland let some bad teams score some points on them this year.  I hope that cleveland can stop the passing game in the spread, which they aren't very good at ,and if you have a hoss running back to go with it, look out Indians.  Good luck to both teams and I say BC 24-21

    • I don’t know about any rivalry there because I don’t live there but although LP and DP play in different classifications they still have a lot in common.  I mean, both beat Barber’s Hill this year!
    • I’m super excited for this game.  PNG has the team and game plan that will slow TH down.  No way we can stop them the entire game, but I feel if we slow them down we can win similar to what we did last year to Lake Creek and SOC.
    • Well Mustang fans it's time for my annual end of season rant. I've had so much company up here on the soapbox that I may have to start charging rent. After 3 years I don't think anything needs to be said. We all know what's wrong. We all know why. So what's the decision at the next board meeting? IMO, there's been enough imaginary success for the board to rubber stamp the Superintendent's vision for our future student athletes. #make every second count Due to soft scheduling and a weaker than normal district. The luck of knocking off 2 ranked opponents early when they were not healthy or still trying to figure it out. Also led to a premature ranking and a hollow DCTF weekly award. The 2 late season losses vs ranked teams proves what we know has been the biggest problem.  Football 19-15 .559 Baseball 9-35 .205 Basketball 19-35 .352 GBB 11-29 .275 Softball 1-22 .043 Volleyball 0-38 .000 Overall 59-174 .253   For anyone living in the district, I ask that you contact you're elected board members publicly and privately. Don't let them think this is exceptable. Be the solution to the equation. Not the divisor. This starts at the top and falls heavily upon those walking the halls. They deserve better.
    • I don't think it's 6-5 maybe 4-3
    • Sounds like a good idea, and something’s been needed for a long time. I know—where my kids & grandkids live now (DFW area)—schools are like revolving doors for athletic purposes. I don’t think the DPISD & LPISD option enrollment are anywhere like that. I assume it’s pretty above board since it was an arrangement apparently agreed to also by the state. I do know some kids that went to LPISD elementary schools in DP chose to go to DPHS because of the district rating. (Of course, at the time, DPISD and DP in general wasn’t very racially mixed like La Porte.) LPISD has a high number of kids on assistance programs compared to DP. Say what you will, it does make it more difficult for educational purposes and scores can reflect as much. LPISD is still rated high even with that challenge. Some of the kids that chose DPHS were very solid athletes that I’m sure LP would love to have had attend LPHS. Of course, part of the big rivalry between DP & LP has always been because DP ‘looked down’ on LP even though we worked side-by-side. Now that Shell DP refinery has been sold to PEMEX, DP is changing. Some aren’t happy about it. Some of us in LP are kinda tickled about it after the history.
