I would just like to say Friday Nov 6 was a game to remember, there is nothing greater in football then to see two great teams battle it out for a district crown and put it all on the line for there school and community. After the game was over Friday I could not have been more proud of the players on both sides of the field. Newton did lose a great player in Bennet in the last 40 secs of the game fans on both sides of the field came over a prayed for him as he was being carted to the ambulance. I know the Kirbyville Newton game is a bitter rivalry, but when its over it is great to see the two community's come together again as friends and support both teams threw the playoffs ,and that is the best thing about this rivalry.

GOOD LUCK TO THE EAGLES AND WILDCATS IN THE PLAYOFFS BRING BACK TwO STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Well said JcMeek and so true. We may not like each other on game day, but as soon as that 4th qtr is over, we're here to support one another. That was a game to remember, and I will never forget it. Both sides played their hearts out, and left it all on the field. I'm very proud of both teams, players, and fans!!

I agree totally Kvillecats...this Years Game by far exceeded the previous ones...Kirbyville & Newton are the best 2A teams in southeast texas...NO DOUBT...
