LU Baseball Fan Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 Chancellor Ryan announces that University of New Orleans is considering a move from DI to DIII by 2011 http://www.nola.com/uno/t-p/baseball/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1258007610317410.xml&coll=1This move is so devastating for the these kids. I am so happy that Jake decided to go ahead and move to Lamar this year and get out from under all this uncertainty. We just had a really bad feeling about the future of this program and it turns out we were right. I just hate it for these kids, especially the juniors who will be seniors in 2011.
Guest coachacola Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 Centenary College is also dropping down to D3 in a few years. I wonder if any other Louisiana schools are in danger, like Nicholls State?
NorthoftheBorder Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 There used to be an arrogant UNO fan that would post on the Sun Belt message board about 12-15 years ago back when Lamar was in the that conference. He was as bad as TT is today. I bet he is on 24 hour watch with this announcement.
KDOSullivan Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 A sign of the times. NO has still not recovered from the storm. Sad. :(
UNLV Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Enough money was spent on that city to build 2-3 replicates.
