Jon Carnahan signs with Delta State University

Former PNG player Jon Carnahan has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Delta State University, one of the most storied programs in collegiate baseball.  Coach Mike Kinnison in his previous 13 seasons led Delta State to the NCAA DII National Championship in 2004, four College World Series appearances, nine NCAA South Regional appearances, 10 Gulf South Conference Western Division titles, three NCAA South Regional championships, and four Gulf South Conference titles.

Delta State University is located in Cleveland Mississippi.

We wish Jon the best of luck as he finishes up his 2010 season at Marion Military Institute.

Couldn't happen to a better person.  Jon helped our catchers this past summer with Gladiator 16U team.  He is a great young man and an excellent coach.  He has a bright future in baseball (and coaching, if he chooses to do so).  Congrats Jon.  You deserve it!
