Waltrip (whom Wheatley beat last week) will take their place. It is very unfortunate for all concerned. The kids at Wheatley that practiced all week and had the rug yanked out from under them, The Kids at Waltrip that thought their season was over, and haven't practiced til today, and to us here in Friendswood that go into a playoff game with a heavy advantage that, though not of our doing, just feels wrong. Even if we win, it will feel like kissing your sister.In any case though, you have to enforce the rules. Even if it causes some strange circumstances.

Whoever the team was that got recalled up could only field about 2/3 rds of their team or whatever on short notice...and got hammered in the state finals... anyone remember?

It says that Wheatley self-repoted, and that Waltrip had already put away its equipment and had to re-issue it yesterday. Anyway, it'll be Mustangs by a lot!!!!

It's a shame they didn't get a chance to view film or prepare a game plan. They had already turned in all their gear and everything and many players apparently went or are going out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday.
