I thought the offense looked pretty potent tonight.
you're dang right they did...X Franks riding #66 to 200+ yards...that O Line made it happen
You got that right....the O line is really firing on all cylinders!  #66 did an amazing job of lead blocking and that dude is huge!!!

friogal... you're not partial are you??

#66 has done a great job since last season. A SS fan pulled me aside after the game last year @ the Alamodome and said he was just as impressed with him as he was with AJ and Cody. Pretty high praise!!! Thought you might like to hear that!

Hahaha....well, just a little  ;) :P
I'll fess up....I am a bit biased since he is my nephew  ::) but regardless, he is doing a great job along with the entire O line- they are really working very well together!

That is very cool to hear...thanks for sharing!  ;D

some video and a write up on El Campo's leading rusher... Landon Appling

El Campo plays in a district with some good defenses, so you can bet he can play.

Here is a really neat article on the Appling family football tradition in El Campo!

I was thinking I had heard that last name for years!! cool stuff.

That's great for the appling family.  Now let's go out there and give El Campo the type of loss that their family can really be ashamed of.

I've been saying all year that this O line is one of the best I've seen. Untill recently the rest of the offense has stalled from time to time. Looks the whole offense is firing on all cylinders now! Amazing blocking clinic in the Waller game, by not just the O line, but the receivers as well.
Armchair coaching but they have to keep giving Franks the ball.  That helped the offense in so many ways the other night.
I hope the armchair coaching comment wasn't direct @ me...I'm just stating facts...dayton's O Line owned Waller...

Not at all, haven't you heard I'm the best armchair qb this side of the Trinity.  With the run game there it really opens up Dayton's offense.

El Campo primarily runs the wing T offense (similar to vidor and waller).  Typically when they go to the spread, they will pass.  Also, they fake the onside on almost every kickoff.  I'm not sure how good they are defensively.  But honestly, from what I've seen the past few weeks from the broncos, I don't care how good El Campo might be. I like Dayton's chances in any game from here on out.

Speaking of fridays game, how about Carranco coming through with a couple of field goals.  A couple more years and that kids going to be drilling 50 yarders.

Check out the video of the 44 yarder...
Pretty cool angle!

Sorry boys.  I am going with the Ricebirds on this one.  They have a solid o-line made up of a bunch of scrappy bohemians.  Also, they have a couple of great running backs.  This will be a great game to go watch.  Good luck to both teams.
