Well said. That guy was a bum. It may take several years for Lumberton to completely recover. A guy like that hurts numbers too. I bet Lumberton's numbers are down. How many are they dressing out on Friday nights?

your dang right...of all coaches...he deserved it more than any other. He could have beaten those kids with sticks and I dont think he could have hurt them more. I am not just talking about the devestating season, but the actual way he blatantly told the kids that he gave up on them mid season. Teenage boys idolize very few men in their lives and their coach is usually one of them. There role model was a weak leader, who gives up on them when they needed him the most.

If no one liked him, how did he last as long as he did? Because he played in the NFL. His offense was at best predictable.

some of it had to do with his contract and somethings had to do with a friendship he had with the superintendent. Apparently they were old football buddies. I hate to say that cause I really like Gus. but Fuller lasted way too long.
