PURPLE 4EVER Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Can be read at...http://www.toupsgraphics.com/fridaynightlights.htmlBronco fans...Lots of good information regarding the road trip about halfway down the page.Enjoy the reading...TOUPS GRAPHICS RESULTSAREA ROUND OF PLAYOFFSIt's Sunday morning and the action is over. This week one of the four 4A teams east of Houston was terminated. A #5 state ranking and undefeated regular season did PN-G no avail as it ran into the mighty Cubs from Brenham that just edged out the Indians, still what a great season for the Tribes new chief. Central survived with an unbelievable come from behind victory, Crosby was hanging on by the skin of its teeth as a play to win the game from inside the 10 yard line failed as the seconds ticked to 0, and meanwhile, the Dayton Broncos simply crushed the team that beat Brenham just two weeks ago. Read below for detailed summaries.4A PLAYOFFS AREAFRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20PN-G Indians VS Brenham CubsThorne Stadium, Aldine, TX 7:00 PMTOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONPN-G 21 Brenham 17THE RESULTBrenham 27 PN-G 21Toups Graphics predicted the 21 points scored by the Indians, but the Brenham offense just had too much speed and the Indians gave up too many points. The Indians season was terminated just south of Bush Airport on Friday. 2009 was a great season for Coach Faircloth and for the Indian fans. The PN-G Indians become the first team to run the table in 20-4A since the Dayton Broncos did it four years ago.SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21Central Jaguars vs Huntsville HornetsThorne Stadium, Aldine, TX 6:00 PMTOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONCentral 14 Huntsville 7THE RESULTCentral 28 Hunsville 24The Jaguars looked to be terminally ill at halftime, and even going into the 4th quarter. The defense gave up too many points and the offense still had the flu, but then..... SHAZAM! The end of the 4th quarter produced a miracle finish for the ages. The Jaguars score two late 4th quarter touchdowns and pull out the victory. The skyscrapers in downtown Houston were shaking as BMT Soulja's ghetto blaster was turned to full power and the Central fans all danced to Stayin Alive. For a faint moment, Barry Gibbs voice was heard singing the high "alive" in the song all over SETx. Congrats to the Jaguars for literally "staying alive!"Crosby Cougars vs Montgomery BearsLeonard George Stadium, Spring, TX, 2 PMTOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONCrosby 35 Montgomery 14THE RESULTCrosby 31 Montgomery 26The Cougars do it again. They avoid the advice of not letting the Bears back into the game, and as the seconds dwindle down, Cougar fans in George stadium held their breaths as the last play of the game that could have won the game for Montgomery was an incomplete pass. In the end the Cougars score just enough to outlast the Bears of Montgomery and the prescriptions for high blood pressure medicine just increased for Cougar faithfuls.Dayton Broncos vs Waller BulldogsLeonard George Stadium, Spring, TX, 7 PMTOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONDayton 34 Waller 7THE RESULTDayton 41 Waller 3Lets see if the commutative property works in football. Crosby wallops Dayton 28-0. PN-G laid the wood to Crosby at the beginning of the year 37 to 7. PN-G losses to Brenham a team that just lost to Dayton's opponent Waller just two weeks ago. By doing the deduction Dayton should be in trouble. Word is the Bronco's stopped off at Peoples Building Center on the way to the game, purchased two dozen 4 by 4's and used the lumber to pulverize the Bulldogs from Waller totally disspelling the commutative property and football. The Bronco defense swarmed the Bulldogs and literally shut down an offense that churned out over 300 yards against power house Brenham. The Bronco offense is showing sparks of the Dugat / Green era that routinely scored in the 40's. The Broncos play their best game of the year and obliterate their opposition.TOUPS GRAPHICS POWER RANKINGSNOVEMBER 15There are now just three 4A teams left east of the San Jancinto. The Power Rankings this week continue to rank the teams by which one will be playing last. Central draws Friendswood (last years Division I Region III champs), a very tall order to win, the Cougars draw Pearland Dawson (another powerful 24-4A team), and the Broncos draw El Campo, another running team which faces a tall order against the Bronco defense.#1 Dayton - At the beginning of the playoffs, just studying the brackets, Dayton really drew a good spot. If Dayton continues to play good defense look for them to be in the quarter-final game. The doesn't change from last week. If El Campo can't convert some big plays through the air, look for Rice Birds to be on the wrong side of a wood shed beating.#2 Crosby - Should win the area round, but will play Dawson in the following week. The Cougar offense will really have to fire on all cylinders for the Cougars to advance. A 4th quarter defensive lapse could be terminal this week.#3 Central - The Jaguars have a great team, but unless they can get the offense clicking, in the following week they should draw Friendswood. The Jaguars will have to improve to stay with the Mustangs. Can the offense continue the magic if found at the end of the game. Central will have to score at least 28 to advance against Friendswood.WEEK 12 RESULTS AREA3 CORRECT 1 WRONG 75%TOUPS GRAPHICS 2009 RESULTS82 CORRECT 23 WRONG - 78.1%TOUPS GRAPHICS 2008 PREDICTION RECORD WAS 53 AND 22 = 70%TOUPS GRAPHICS 2007 PREDICTION RECORD WAS 47 AND 15 =76%
