Seahawks take unbeaten record on the road Tuesday vs. 10-0 San Jacinto College

The Lamar State College-Port Arthur men’s basketball team will be looking for another victory and a little more respect Tuesday, when they travel to Pasadena for a 7 p.m. matchup with perennial Region XIV powerhouse San Jacinto College.

The Seahawks improved their record to 8-0 and tied for the top spot in the Region XIV South Zone this past Saturday after opening conference play with a 67-65 home victory over nationally-ranked Lon Morris College, the 2009 regular season champion.

San Jacinto, which currently is ranked just outside the Top 20 junior college teams in the nation, also is undefeated.

The 10-0 Ravens opened conference play this past Saturday with an 82-69 win over Jacksonville College.
