I believe for 1st Team Offensive Linemen it should be Thomas Luce from Bridge City.  Troy Luce graduated in '08.

Silsbee has 16 starters returning with 13 of those being All-District picks, 7 on 1st team, 6 on 2nd team.

It will be a battle at the QB spot between McDaniel and Lane. McDaniel is the better runner, Lane the better passer. It will be interesting to see who wins the spot.

Yes, Prentice Lane, the districts leading reciever may be the QB next year for Silsbee. We will see.

Do you think we'll still work out of the spread or is it just wait and see? Went to a few practices and McDaniel looked pretty sharp on the short and intermediate routes. Didn't see Lane take any snaps at practice but noticed he got a few snaps in against H-F.

I was told that they will be looking at both of these players. If I had to give one an edge, it would be McDaniel. Maybe it's because I like Lane as a reciever so much.

Can Cameron play any QB? If he's anywhere close to good as Johnny was then I'd say develop him into the starting QB during the off-season and Menard can stay at RB and pass block and continue to run over people and keep Hyde at reciever...

I have also heard good things about the kid that played QB for our JV this season, but probably will not get a look for next season........and I will leave it at that.

McDaniel may run better but he has a very long way to go by the looks of the chances he was given this season........

Colby Carpenter can also play QB.  He had a great sophomore season on JV & then was moved to another position.  It would be crazy to take Menard out of RB spot the way he blocks & runs over people.

Congrats to all BUT 19 on the 1st team offense?? Come on guys pick the top 11 for offense and defense then the same for 2nd team and be done with it. If you are going to choose 36 kids for 1st team OF/DF and there are only 22 spots on the field what does that say for the award! Might as well put everybody that played varsity on 1st team.
