Phillips is an offensive guy.

Our AD made it pretty clear that he wanted someone who'd return some emphasis to special teams (a SHSU calling card thanks to Fritz in the early 1990s) and knew how to operate a defense.

SHSU has been known as an offensive juggernaut for as long as I can remember. When you have some of the QBs we have and other playmakers, but the defense (last 10 in FCS last year) has held the team back, you are not going anywhere.

A coaching choice is a major decision. When Lamar hired Woodard, everyone around the league was talking about it. I know your opinions do not represent the rest of this board or at least, I hope not. Wouldn't want everyone not seeing the big picture and fail to realize that what other SLC schools do in football have a direct correlation to your program's success.

Guess you do not care about your program's success. Thoughts like this probably led to demise of football the last time around and probably will setback your program this go around.

Well, you can continue to be clueless about the rest of the SLC. Let others learn from my posts and information. Not like you care about the SLC anyways since you are probably a Big 12 guy as is...

Same reason I post on most every other SLC board. We're all fans of the same conference. We are all sharing information and gathering information and learning about the foes, opponents we'll face in this league.

TT... I think Lamar ought to worry about Fritz. I think he can recruit, is a good judge of talent, and can coach. I was around when he won back to back Titles at Blinn. Watched some amazing ball games there. I can tell you that he is not only a great coach but a really fine individual. I glad Sam got him...

To make this Lamar related... they both meet up this coming year and its gona be fun to watch...
