Lazeek Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 You know I am pulling for my Hawks but they will really have their hands full this season with Silsbee!!!!! The Tigers are long and quick!!! And with a healthy Stallworth and Lane they will be a tough out this year!!! The team that wins will be able to keep their bigs in the game.
STiger85 Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009
If I am not mistaken a Silsbee Football player was HUGE tonight for Silsbee..........Lane had 18 when I left with about 3 minutes to go in the 2nd. He seemed like he was fine to me. I think people saw two very good teams tonight!!! Both teams will be very tough to beat in district.
They may have been fine, but better is coming. And yes people did see two very good teams tonight.

Lazeek Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 HJ must improve on the line as well!!!!!
setxslam Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009
The so-called charge on Gus was so bad that even Calvin Rice rolled his eyes and laughed about it!!! The bucket that went it would have sent him to the line to tie it up!!
Refs also cheated HJ at the halftime buzzer, when #40 was clearly fouled on the three-point attempt. One thing about those refs, though: they were consistent. Refs aside, HJ did not look at all like HJ in the first half-- for that half, they lived up (down) to red2red2black's billing. That was surprising to see. The Central kids wanted it more tonight. Congratulations to the Jags. Hawks, learn now! Pull together and play for each other!

HJ has the same problem with free-throws as Silsbee does.
BMTSoulja1 Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Congrads to Central on their first win of the season. Not to bad for a team with some of their starters still playing on the gridiron...
swagg Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009
I must say that I am a little shocked with the outcome of this game!!!
'Shocked" are you serious. Only thing "shocking" was to see H-J beat Kountze. But thats why you play the game. Upsets happens. H-J stole one and every Hawk knows it. I guarantee it that you said it to urself lastnite. "The Hardin County Kountze Lions Basketball" are the best team in Hardin County, and in this area. Like Ktz"s shirts says "Check or Swag" and everyone at Ozen had a chance to witness the best team in the gym. By FAR!!!

Basically they had to foul. Foul or get Dunked On. Devin and Roman was going to the rack with authority. no lay-ups on their minds. You seen it. Respect is earned, not giving. Devin and Roman earned it last nite. Everyone said they only have 2 players. Well you know what, those 2 players we have carried the team to Victory against a High Powered, deep 3a team last nite..Great Win for the Lions. oh yeah that was a heck of a Coaching Job by "Coach Joubert and staff"

What are you saying? Whose fault is it that Silsbee didnt attack the basket as much as Walker/Bray. Can't be serious! Although I was a bit surprised at the count my self.
Guest Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 I saw several news cameras there, but cant find the highlights of Kountze/Silsbee...
