Guest coachacola Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 It was against Huston-Tillotson so a blowout was expected.
lu cards Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 i got a feeling this team is gonna make some noise.
woodman Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 coach, Have any idea how many assists Plumey had. I was at the game and she is the real deal. She missed 4 three pointers but hit several more.
Guest coachacola Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 From the LU website:
Jenna Plumley handed out a school-record 14 assists while Trashanna Smith set a school mark with nine blocked shots as the Lady Cardinals (6-2) rolled to their largest victory of the season in front of a kids day crowd of 1,628.
http://www.lamarcardinals.com/sports/w-baskbl/recaps/120209aaa.htmlPlumley seems to have really made a difference. Hopefully they can make the NCAAs this year.
Guest mffl Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Wonder why Brittney Williams played only 4 minutes? Hope she didn't get injured.
woodman Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Britney was a step too slow for this outing. She did a good job on the sideline as cheerleader though. I know most of the folks on this site are watching the guys but these ladys are playing some great BB. The folks that don,t go see them are missing the best/complete girls team I have seen in many years. Plumley is a pleasure to watch, as soon as she gets the ball, she has someone in mind to pass to. She uses great passes to get the ball up the court instead of dribbling. Team mates better watch her at all times or they could be eating a ball. If we had Tamera back WOW!

My guess would be that the staff used this game to get her some rest since they obviously were not going to need her.
Guest coachacola Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Here's something amusing:The Texas State women's team beat Huston-Tillotson 99-94, but it took 2 overtimes and because Huston-Tillotson only had 6 players suited up, 2 of them fouled out in the 2nd OT so they were playing 3 on 5 basketball.
