millermob6 Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Great Basketball. BH had the lead but the Hawks kept the pressure on and hit the shot that counted with 2 seconds on the clock.Congrats to both teams for a great job.
SeTxTigers15 Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 sounds like bh held their own against a good hj team and almost pulled it out. keep up the good work!
Lazeek Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 BH led by 18 at one point.........I would not call that holding their own!!!
86hawk Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 When did BH get a boys bball team? Back in the day is was a sure thing and the only challenge was getting to 100. Glad to see they are catching up with their girls program.

Had one of the best players in SE Texas two years ago in Brooks Ybarra. He went to LU and has since transferred I believe to Texas State. BH even had an ex-HJ player as their coach for a few years in Trey Watts!! That was when the big turnaround started.
millermob6 Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 BH lost a key player with 3 minutes of the game with a bad fall. BH can hold it's own with anyone. If you look at the game film they out played HJ all over the court.
Lazeek Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 Do you get a WIN for out playing your opponent???
Bench Warmer Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 Weather kept me away. Did anyone get it on film??

That's all that counts!Moral victory is for 2nd place!

Im glad that he didnt get hurt seriously and Im hoping he gets better along with #2.

[/quote]It was a very physical game and yes, there was some flopping, but on that particular play that was no flop. When you can rotate someone 270 degrees in midair... I understand when you want to make them earn the points from the line, but come on now... I think this foul was a little excessive.
mrsomebody Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 With three mins left #44 Jake Miller took a nasty fall and BH's morale and momentum was stripped from them;at least that is what it looked like from the stands.(some of the BH fans were crying as he layed there)(he was down on the court nearly 5 min!)
Lazeek Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 I sure hope Jake is OK..........any word on how he is doing??
Guest bigun Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Heard he still has a headache and yes the foul was excessive. He took the moral down with him when he fell and the 3 point winning shot was made over a BH player who went down with an ankle injury. Tough game for all.
millermob6 Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 Jake is back on the court has he started against Caney Creek. The first shot he took was under the basket just like his last one when he was flipped. I'm glad he was able to get up and get back on the court.
