I know that Kirbyville has all of the tools to get it done. The Beaumont Enterprise made note of PP having several linemen @ 6 foot plus, 200 lbs plus. I would still put a player like Will Tyler at a very fast 5'-7" and 230lbs having the advantage over the guy 6' 5". When it comes down to a pushing match a man built like W.T. has the leverage, center of gravity and the advantage. PP has a great running game which I would rather see us defend over a passing squad.  As long as Kville settles down early and keeps thier heads cool, I think the Cats can take them.

Sounds like someone got Kerrville and Kirbyville mixed up. Kerrville is out by San Antonio and they are playing Brenham in San Marcos. Kirbyville should be playing in Tyler or at SFA.
[/quote]

That sounds a lot more logical, considering the location of both teams....

Dave Campbell's site has Kerrville and Brenham playing in Georgetown. Just a guess, but sometimes coaches don't want to play in a venue the other team is familiar with. Could be that because San Marcos is not particualry further for one team than the other (guesstimating) and neither team has been there, and thus might feel more comfortable in the surroundings, the coaches found it acceptable. Don't really know, just a guess.

I said that I wouldn't do it but I'll bite and let it out.

There is something about this team that is much different than last yrs team yet eerily similar to a team the Wildcats played last yr.  This team plays with more gut and purpose than last yrs team.  The team that they are similar to IMO is Muleshoe's title team...yes, I said it.  Muleshoe went through last yrs run with a huge chip on their shoulder and this Wildcat team is on that same path and play with the same reckless abandonment as Muleshoe did last yr.  I am in no way guaranteeing a win but if you take this team lightly they will beat you, ask Arp who was ranked ahead of both Kville and PP all yr!  They weren't going to be here by all accounts but as most of us SE Texans have seen ever since the WOS game they have improved every week.  I wish both teams the best of luck this week and for a good clean hard fought game!  I'll take the underdog in this one.  Kville wins a thriller!
