What will it take for Kirbyville to bring home the championship

Recommended Posts

Other than keeping their cool on the field to keep the penalties from making a difference the 'Cats played as good as can be expected in Waco. They mixed up the offensive plays to keep the Comfort D guessing, kept the mistakes to a minnimum and the 'Cats D had a fantastic night. Ford just had to keep them occupied (and still had over 100 yds) which gave others a chance to make big plays. Just play it like that again and things should go well for them.

I agree, Kirbyville will have to be balanced on both sides of the ball.  They'll need to keep an eye on Seth Tilley, their quarterback.  Everybody talks about Jarman Johnson and the Wildcats can't let him run loose.  But if they load up on him, Tilley will make them pay because he can throw (and he spreads the ball around) and he can run.  On offense, just like last night and against Arp, they are gonna have to stay balanced.  They can't just count on Ford to get the plays, guys like Kael, Caleb and JaMichael will have to come up big.

I agree with you WOSgrad...Kville will have a lot on their plate..Johnson the RB has 2,727 rushing yds,They have another one with 1,600 yds..And Tilley is like you say...He can throw and from the stats on him he don't have a favorite reciever..Kville is gonna have to get hard down Mean( of course legally)..If They will do what they did with Comfort,Stay focused, play hard every down,Keep the penalities down..They can bring home the State Trophy..!!!

A good "balanced" game is just another way of saying playing as a team. Kville showed what they can do as a team in Waco. No superstars, everyone making an individual effort with a combined result.

GO 'Cats!
