SgtRey Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Hmmm, how far did Crosby get in the play offs with all the "All District" personnel they have? How far did Dayton get?any more questions?

They beat Dayton 28-0. Nothing else seems to matter.
Guest Lights.Out10 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Dayton got further because they were in another bracket. Not because they are better than Crosby.
jiggs Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 I figured this would turn into rehashment of a game that happened close to two months ago. What say we get back on subject, Crosby got screwed and everybody knows it. Back in the deep dark recesses of your mind, if you're in it for the kids, you know it.
Your in the play offs, what bracket you play in doesn't matter....Dayton State Semi-finals....because they played a bunch of teams that werent worthy... ???
oldrock Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 So next year see if your team would try for second seed and then see if it is any easier.
bigdaddyblue Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Don't get any easier than 28-0....

They didnt make it to the semis.

SgtRey Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Hard to believe this....IMO, individual awards are a bonus to a fine season that a TEAM accomplishes, especially All district/All State/All American honors...if you beat Dayton 28-0, great for your TEAM, but look at what Dayton accomplished in their season...their accomplishment as a TEAM resulted in more individual recognition....you'd have to have a SUPERSTAR to be recognized(with out a big TEAM accomplishment), maybe the voters didn't feel that a "Superstar" existed, or maybe the head coach just didn't throw up any names ....may want to ask the source first. ;D

bronco1 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Is it not enough to win district, go 3 rounds deep in the playoffs, have multiple players on the All-District team, and beat an old rival all in one season. It takes time, no one owes you respect, you have to earn it by producing those results year after year.Crosby always plays hard and competes, they deserve better fans than the ones that represent them on this board.

gr Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Dayton has beet Crosby the last 5 of 6 games they have played not by a small margin, 49-14,08--49-7,07--35-0,06--21-2,05--36-17,04-- I think the stats show who has the better school!
Tyrone_Biggums Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 The crosby crybabies are right. A grievous error was made during superlative selection. The head coaches messed up big time. The entire Crosby team should have been first team all everything and the JV should have been represented on the 2nd team. Honorable mention should have atleast included half the freshman team. What were they thinking? Crosby has been SO good for SO long, maybe they just forgot how deserving the cougars really are.

Don't get me wrong I don't like to see the team I support lose, especially to Crosby. BUT since Crosby went a couple of rounds into the playoffs they showed they could actually play some football, even though 95% of their fans can barely spell football and Crosby. I still believe until this day that if they were to play on a neutral site and good weather that Dayton would no doubt beat Crosby like a drum. On that particular night Crosby was better period. A fluke? Maybe so. Maybe not.

So you can throw that statement out the window!!!!!All districts are based on what you do in district play.. that is what they are voting on.....THIS YEAR!!!!!In District Crosby was the better team this year........Merka let his team to more victories, played in more games and played better than Plouch in district...... you can't dispute that. And second the Divisions are different..... when you have more kids most of the time you have better teams....

DII was tougher.
mikehoncho Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 is Crosby 3A yet? maybe in the next realignment
