COLD, COLD, COLD weekend in Bossier City

[size=16pt]Played in Bossier City Showcase this weekend and it was extremely cold….about to froze death on the first day and wimped out for the Sunday games, had to trade to diamond for the hard court (VOLLEYBALL) it was warmer.  Orange Crush Gold Harrell and Brown played some good ball and won 8, lost 1 and tied 1.  Good job ladies….[/size]

This just goes to show how "STUPID" hahaha some of us are . Heaters in the dugouts, heaters on the stands, AirForce flying low and were STILL playing softball. Both Brown and Harrell teams combined throughout the 2 day event to showcase themselves in front of a good small college coaches turnout. ETBU, LON Morris, BPCC(host) ,TVCC,La College,Ark Mont and several others braved the cold for the Sat morning camp. Got some good feedback from several and have some visits scheduled. Thanks to the Brown Gang for helping us out. AJones , C James,V Brown , K Birdwell all played for us and played well.

[size=16pt]Yea and speaking of the heaters, I went today and bought me one; I will not be without one the next time we are out in 24 degree weather.  The girls who showed up and played are impressively tough. [/size]  ;)

Once I got started into doing softball, I always said that the gals were tougher than the guys.

I would also like to send out  a big Thanks to John's team for helping us out with players this weekend.This was a good tournament to end a real good fall season. I am real proud of my girls. We took two teams and made a real strong team that can compete with any team out there.I am looking forward to summer.Good luck to all of them in High school.
