SteelerCzy Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 This will be a Dog Fight, I think it will come down to whoever makes the least amount of mistakes will win. Toss up, but I have to pick Deweyville in a close one, Deweyville 35 EC 34. I hear this may be the Game of the Week on Channel 6 KFDM.
Bobcatfan4life Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 This game will be our game of the week at SETXsports!
whsalum Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 In a close game like this it's the little things that make the difference, penalties, turnovers etc.I like E/C for 3 reasons.Strength of schedule, bye week and their playing at home.E/C by 10.
Guest ECBucFan Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Regardless of the outcome, I invite all DV fans (and anyone else reading this) to enjoy the Texas Rice Festival before or after the game. It goes on quite late, so there is ample time to enjoy afterwards. I hope EC is well rested (and healed up a bit). We will need our helments buckled up tight! Welcome to Winnie, DV.
DP#1FAN Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 We also go to it and have a great time each year. The game will be a good one I hope it will reflect 2 very good teams from our district.
rhino1877 Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 This going to be an AWESOME game!!!!!! Everyone needs to come out and watch this.
TheCardinalFan Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 This will be good football game to see. I think it will be a very physical game. After seeing both teams play, I'll have to give the edge to EC. While playing bigger opponents and winning the Bucs didn't get alot of penalties. The Pirates will have to play a very good mental football game to keep Officials from droping their flags on the field. If either team looses their cool on the field during this game, it could really cost them. Good Luck Bucs & Pirates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh Yeah!!!!!! and after the game get over to the Rice Festival and buy a Crab Ball. Its been 2 years sense you had your last one!!!!!!! Go Cardinals!!!!!!
hfaninthestands Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 track meet here.... EC 56 DV 49
bigred75 Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 EC takes it to em, and DV finally realizes they are not playing 1A schools anymore. EC 42 ---DV 6..............
dhspiratemom Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Big Red there is no need to talk so negative about Deweyville Pirates. Can't u just say you're for EC without talking negative about the Pirates? The players didn't make the schedule. Let old dogs lie. I think this will be a close game. It can go either way, depending on penalties and injuries. Even though we are the smallest school in our district, we have young men that play with alot of heart and determination, as do alot of the teams do on Friday night. That's what it's all about. Go out and play your heart out and leave everything you got on the field and hopefully it will be enough to end up with a win. But true fans support their team no matter what. Because no one walks on the field planning to lose. Good Luck Pirates!!! BE RELENTLESS!!!!!!!
Guest ECBucFan Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Deweyville 42 East Chambers 18 Wow. More than doubled up on EC, at EC's home field. I hope we can at least be competetive with you guys....
bigred75 Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Hey no smack talking here, just FACTS......I never said anything about the players either. Are you a little sensitive here??? I think EC has a way better team than DV. Thats my opinion. Take or leave it. EC wins. Friday we will know for sure. The level of competition whether you want to admit it or not for you as a DV fan just jumped up about 10 notches this week. Get ready.
Guest Nederland Bulldogs Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 East Chambers by a bunch in this one.
SETXsports #1 Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 The question is can Deweyville contain Deweyville's speed?
mustang Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 East Chambers by as much as they want. They've been playing 3A's while Deweyville is playing 1A's.
duckbutter Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 EC isn't all that... ....DV will make it a game. DV by 3
AnahuacPanther Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I am interested to see how DV's running back (don't remember the name) is going to do against a really good 2A team. Good luck DV - hope the success continues but I don't see it happening. EC by 2 TD's
Ty Cobb Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I like Deweyville but I'm going with East Chambers. I hear their QB is a good one.
DP#1FAN Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 One thing for sure there will be some HITTING going on from both teams! I am sure both teams respect each other. This is going to be what Texas High School football is all about. Both teams will leave it all on the field.
coony Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I do agree it is going to be one hard hitting game. EC will finally be playing a team that goes both ways like we do. The better conditioned, and the team that has the least flags is going to come out on top. EC wil be the one . Good luck to Deweyville this year and thru the palyoffs. Good luck to dem Bucs, keep playing like you have we are very proud of you. We will follow you all the way.
