domino Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 They will win district. They have an energetic new coach, Josh Tanner, who has high goals for them. Their pre-season games are going to be brutal...we'll see how that goes! They did not lose too many to graduation, but strikers will be learning to work together and make it happen without the prolific scorer, Michelle Sladaritz. They have a lot of experienced players that should be able to do that...and four promising freshmen on varsity this year. Check them out at the Kelly Winter Classic tournament in January.

[/quote]we talking about girls or guys? josh should be a good coach. i play with him on sundays, and he's a solid player who understands the game really well.
Guest Newbie Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Josh Tanner is the girls coach. Don Smith, current TASCO president is the boys coach. This is Josh's first year as an official coach but he helped last year's coach in an unofficial capacity so the players know him well. He also used to play for Coppell HS, a perennial state favorite so no doubt he knows the game. WB shares a player pool with Kelly from the local club teams so although a 5a school, the depth and strength of the team is a bit watered down but they will do fine. Girls are favored to win district and boys should make playoffs.
Adidas#1 Posted December 10, 2009 Author Report Posted December 10, 2009 I'm just looking for predictions for either boys or girls. I agree that Josh is going to be great for the girls, and expect they'll do well. I think the boys have their work cut out for them.
rip2506 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Aaron Strawser should be factor in helping the girls score goals she a great fall in EDDOA and the twins (Cathy and Lizzy) should supply some fire works. Both had a good fall season as well.
