Guest GCMPats Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 So the QB from Silsbee is not All State? Did I overlook him? That seems odd.

slimbo7722 Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 Wrong, local Joel Witwer --- Huffman DB 2nd team
DwightKSchrute Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 Witwer was 2nd team Receiver and Defensive Back. Congrats Joel on a great season! It was very surprising that Johnson wasn't even on the honorable mention list. Also, Cole DeBerry. Both had outstanding seasons.

He didn't even make 1st team all district (but he was a highly touted UT recruit)!
SgtRey Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Wow...I hate to see the rest of the AP All State results
T-daddy Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Wow jasper has 4 make all-state 2 1st team and 2 2nd team congrats!!!!
Hornet Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 This is also based on a "Regular Season Performance"...don't they do another one after the State Playoffs?
Hupernikomen Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009
Wow jasper has 4 make all-state 2 1st team and 2 2nd team congrats!!!!
That is a lot of recognition for the defense. They were solid this year.Looks like our only losses were to State Finalist and we beat one State Finalist. All 4 of those were seniors so we will have to reload.
