Guest coachacola Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Lloyd and Plumley both a double-doubles. LU women are now 9-3.http://www.lamarcardinals.com/sports/w-baskbl/recaps/122009aaa.html
LumberCard Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 The Lady Cards are deeeeeeeeeeeeeep this year. They only played eight or so players today, but you could tell that they were way too much for Rice to handle. In reality, the ladies didn't really play all that well, but they are good enough to have a double digit win and score 82 points when they are not clicking at 100 percent and are without their third leading scorer Ang Green who was out with a hammy injury. In my opinion Kalis Loyd is a better overall player than Tamara Abalde was as a freshman, but Tammy was a better pure scorer. Kalis is more of a gamer and she plays much harder. Plumley is a great floor leader for LU. She controls the team and can fill it up when she want and needs too.Ashley Crawford is a nice story for LU this year. Torn ACL two years ago, not a whole lot of production last year, and this year she is a solid contributor.Add in the play of Brittney Williams, Trashana Smith and Darika Hill in the post, and this team has the potential to be really really dangerous in SLC play and possibly dangerous if they could win the conference tournament.

No team in the SLC can touch the lady cards.
Guest coachacola Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 I don't know much about the other teams in the SLC, but looking at the Jeff Sagarin ratings it appears UTSA and LU are the two best teams, followed by SFA:[tt]HOME ADVANTAGE= 4.00 RATING W L SCHEDL(RANK) VS top 25 | VS top 50 | ELO_CHESS | PREDICTOR 126 Texas-San Ant. = 72.26 4 4 74.19( 56) 0 2 | 0 2 | 75.86 101 | 68.39 163 127 Lamar = 72.08 8 3 62.05( 320) 0 1 | 0 2 | 72.56 126 | 71.24 130 145 Stephen F.Austin = 70.54 5 3 63.08( 307) 0 2 | 0 2 | 72.23 133 | 68.50 159 239 Texas-Arlington = 63.34 4 7 69.33( 178) 0 1 | 0 3 | 64.26 231 | 62.05 240 257 Texas A&M-CC = 62.04 5 3 58.95( 339) 0 1 | 0 1 | 63.54 241 | 60.17 256 272 Northwestern St. = 60.28 4 5 61.92( 321) 0 0 | 0 0 | 60.20 280 | 59.99 259 284 Sam Houston St. = 59.30 3 6 67.60( 227) 0 0 | 0 2 | 58.73 295 | 59.50 265 290 Central Arkansas = 58.42 3 2 55.66( 344) 0 0 | 0 0 | 59.60 290 | 56.87 289 309 Southeastern La. = 55.04 3 5 60.53( 331) 0 0 | 0 0 | 55.90 312 | 53.82 308 311 Texas St. = 54.95 0 6 71.61( 113) 0 0 | 0 1 | 51.41 333 | 57.88 283 330 Nicholls St. = 50.40 2 8 63.45( 305) 0 1 | 0 1 | 51.50 332 | 48.93 330 343 McNeese St. = 46.09 1 7 59.90( 337) 0 1 | 0 1 | 40.88 344 | 50.09 328 [/tt]http://rpiratings.com/womrate.htm
