AggiesAreWe Posted December 24, 2009 Author Report Posted December 24, 2009 My only question to this particular Super Gold team, why does both runningbacks for west Brook make 2nd team? Shouldn't have one of the Vidor runningbacks or maybe Mennard from Bridge City or one Of Newton's backs?Just saw that as a flaw.Pittman for Vidor had 1600 yards and 16 TD's.
AggiesAreWe Posted December 24, 2009 Author Report Posted December 24, 2009 Just checked and O'Neal is a Central back, not West Brook.Still, Pittman should have got the nod.
BMTSoulja1 Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Congrads to these young men. A special congrads to Keith 'Roach' O'Neal for representing Central. You deserved it! BTW, I think that Pittman should have been on this list.
SgtRey Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Congrads to these fine young studs...
SgtRey Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 whens the SETXsports team comming out?
liltex Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 When that comes out we'll all see if SETX awards are non-biased.So far all the papers awards are biased to the Bmt.-Pt.Arth-Orange County teams. No pun intended for any of the players already nominated.Get this one somewhat better overall for all the players.

I don't think any bias was in place.

The Orange Leader teams only covered Orange County, the PA News teams covered as far north as Beaumont, as far west as Winnie, and as far east as Orange.

Speedkills Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 I was glad to see LeFredrick Fords name on the super gold team he is one of the best running backs i have ever seen in Kirbyville congratulations LeFredrick.
liltex Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 As much as I'd like to believe you guy's it's really all about marketing that's just as bad as DCTF and others.A number of years ago we had the Houston Post that had alot more HS sports coverage than all the others combined. Now the Hearst family owns the Houston Chronicle and the baby sister paper The Beaumont Enterprize.Hearst Corp.was losing market share to the Post so Football and other HS Sports got coverage to try to regain the lead in marketing locally and as soon as the Houston Post was no longer on the newstands the wide coverage dwindled away w/exception of the Obituary column. That's the real logic and the truth Believe It or Not.

I am sure it is anywhere between zero and none! So why would they include Dayton in their coverage base for the BEAUMONT ENTERPRISE Super Gold Team?Doesn't Baytown have a paper? So why don't they have an all-star team? Wouldn't Dayton be in the Baytown coverage area? Go cry to them.
baddog Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 Newspapers have to draw a line somewhere. You aren't going to please everyone, so why even try? I can't keep up with every player, so I will say that this list doesn't look biased to me, and I don't even like the ''Surprise''.Congrats to all players.
SgtRey Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I wonder why Jr's stats weren't posted next to him in the paper.... ::) , the enterprise wouldn't be able to explain that one... :o ...
