My only question to this particular Super Gold team, why does both runningbacks for west Brook make 2nd team? Shouldn't have one of the Vidor runningbacks or maybe Mennard from Bridge City or one Of Newton's backs?

Just saw that as a flaw.

Pittman for Vidor had 1600 yards and 16 TD's.

When that comes out we'll all see if SETX awards are non-biased.So far all the papers awards are biased to the Bmt.-Pt.Arth-Orange County teams. No pun intended for any of the players already nominated.Get this one somewhat better overall for all the players.

I don't believe the Enterprise coverage reaches the 19-4A teams.  I don't think any bias was in place.

I agree, Grad. It's like the All Orange Leader teams and PA News teams, they only cover the readership.

The Orange Leader teams only covered Orange County, the PA News teams covered as far north as Beaumont, as far west as Winnie, and as far east as Orange.

I predict he'll get Junior of the Year or Offensive POY.

As much as I'd like to believe you guy's it's really all about marketing that's just as bad as DCTF and others.A number of years ago we had the Houston Post that had alot more HS sports coverage than all the others combined. Now the Hearst family owns the Houston Chronicle and the baby sister paper The Beaumont Enterprize.Hearst Corp.was losing market share to the Post so Football and other HS Sports got coverage to try to regain the lead in marketing locally and as soon as the Houston Post was no longer on the newstands the wide coverage dwindled away w/exception of the Obituary column. That's the real logic and the truth Believe It or Not.

How many people in Dayton get the Beaumont Enterprise? I am sure it is anywhere between zero and none! So why would they include Dayton in their coverage base for the BEAUMONT ENTERPRISE Super Gold Team?
Doesn't Baytown have a paper? So why don't they have an all-star team? Wouldn't Dayton be in the Baytown coverage area? Go cry to them.

Newspapers have to draw a line somewhere. You aren't going to please everyone, so why even try? I can't keep up with every player, so I will say that this list doesn't look biased to me, and I don't even like the ''Surprise''.

Congrats to all players.

I know, they're terrible....jr's stats were cut short too, but it is called the ENTERPRISE's team, so I'm sure they use their own stats

You want to compare 5A to 3A? 2500 students to 800?

West Brook's season was no tougher than Silsbee's in relation.
