baddog
pngfan1, good thing you couldn't advance a fumble back then because Permian recovered one and ran it back for a TD with no time on the clock. in today's game, French would have lost.soulja, I was 32 in '85. We actually had that same French team beat late in the game. They scored and went up 20 -14 with a minute and half left, but we could not score after we got the ball back. We lost seven starters in that game(five for the season). It went on to be a bad year for us from that point on. But French got better every week and peaked at the right time. WOSgrad
Okay, while we are dating ourselves, I was a 16 yr old junior at WO-S in '84 (that was the football season that French won). I remember that it had come down to the last week of district, a WO-S win at Vidor and a French loss to B-C-P and the 'Stangs were going to the playoffs instead of the Buffaloes. It had been filtered that B-C-P was beating French and the crowd was going nuts as we were drubbing Vidor that night. I won't mention any names, but one of the messengers does frequent this board.
